gears... i'd go 4.30s personally. full exhaust and some u/d pulleys would be nice too. the long tubes may be a bit pricey after parts and labor, but an o/r midpipe and catback will still bring a smile to your face. but before any of that, i'd go ahead and get a shifter. good luck. -Sergio

i only have 59k on mine but i've seen some with 180k-ish that still run strong... it has everything to do with how the car's been maintained.

full exhaust (longtubes, o/r midpipe, catback) and u/d pullies should do it. i've had pulleys on my car for 4 yrs and never had a problem.

just practice your launch, and those times will start to come down... not bad for your first outting.

ford went to an iron block to bring costs down more than anything. the aluminum block is fine, the pistons and rods are what goes in these block (like 99SVTaddict stated). You might regret it if you can afford to get a rebuild or a forged shortblock.

pullies - yes...throttle body - no longtubes will help as well, but then you have to get a new mid pipe as well. your IRS probably won't like the slicks, but if the rear holds up, YES, they will help you. ALOT! Practice will help you too. The fastest timeslip doesn't always win the race...

not the "R" models. the cobra was offered in 3 colors though.

it SHOULD run 13.8-14.0 @ 100-102. but anything is possible. i've seen some run as slow as 15.2 with bad drivers.
