Interesting, I had no idea.. In my case I needed a Ford Blue carpet, and the few places that supposedly had them, sent Medium Blue (which is a shade or two off). So I did it myself with a sheet of Ford Blue from ACC.

I went with a custom carpet solution rather than a kit. A kit wouldn't fit mine since I had a larger fuel tank and steel trunk divider. The custom deal was less than a $250 kit.

If you don't need an original look I'd use some carpet, after you clean up and reseal the metal. It makes the trunk much nicer and gives more usable space. Here's a link to some info about my trunk project if it helps: Restoration and Modification of a 1966 Mustang Restomod: trunk

Just an update: Thanks for the suggestions on all the options. After looking over a Romac 0209, I went with the Professional Products 80006. I bought it from Amazon a few weeks ago for only $76 shipped. (The price is over $100 now though.) Overall, for the money, I definitely can't beat it!

headliner The headliner install isn't that bad if you have the front and rear glass out... I'd recommend the $5 can of glue to wipe on the edges (not the spray glue). It's pretty straightforward, and an extra set of hands helps. Extra windlace can be used to hold the edges as you work...

Fixed, Thanks This is one of a few posts that have been solved since I first posted in '08. Rusty67 gets the prize for this one. :-) It was a bad bulb. The second bad LED in a row on that side apparently. So I used a standard 1157 and everything worked again... Thanks all!

Sounds good! Got a pic? Here's my ebay LEDs without diffusers, funny that the fuel gauge is tough to read too. :) But I think the light itself looks pretty good, matches the blue lights on the Pioneer stereo now. Also put a blue LED in the tach on the steering column to match...

The replacement handles on my 66 fit fine. In fact, the door is a repop too, no issues. I did save my old pitted Ford handles in case I wanted to reuse them one day.
