    school me on cutting springs...

So it is safe to cut coils...as long as they are kept cool? The GT-350 Suspension modification didn't drop my car as much as I had hoped...so I think a small cut might work...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

Sorry, I must've gone completely crazy overnight. For some odd and very stupid reason I thought the heat escaped through those cowl vents...my mistake. I had to run outside and lift my hood to double check. I take back what I said, seal those puppies up, it looks mean!! Nice car...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

The same way having a 10mm fan at the front of your computer case and having a fan at the back of your computer case works. It keeps the air flowing. You seal up your cowl and it can't escape through the vents and could run hotter... Least thats I what I envision...your trapping heat...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

I used Paul's Powdercoating here in Mesquite, Tx. He sandblasted the old chrome off and then powdercoated every piece. He said it was no big deal so apparently it is pretty easy to powercoat. Getting the pieces back on was no big deal either. The paint is VERY tough, obviously it will gouge...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

Not a problem. You and I think alot alike. I smoothed all my emblem holes, I have the Restomod 6 piece body kit from Mustangs Plus (had to let them rape me at least once) and I blacked out both my front and rear window trim by powdercoating it flat black. I highly recommend this as the...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

Whew Whew those ARE pricey. But they do look incredible on his car. I unfortunately have to stick to a budget and if I had to choose $25/ea for some lower grade ones vs. $100/ea for really nice one, the cheapskate in me goes for the $25/ea What I could maybe do is get an extra pair, find a...

Update and a question on my 66' Restomod

Well it has been a while since I posted some stuff up. About 3 or 4 weekends ago I got together with my Dad and brother and we put in the 308 coupled to the 5 speed. It all went in super easy and we had the gig done in a couple of hours. Now I am turning my attention towards getting the...

    1966 Mustang Coupe $2500

Congratulations. That is actually a good price. I bought my 66 for $1200 and it was in worst condition than yours. I really wish you lived closer to Texas, that would have been a steal.

==Located in Roanoke, Tx about 25 minutes from Ft. Worth, Tx and about 45 minutes from Dallas, Tx== I have had this engine out of the car for less than 1 year. Best place to get Classic Mustang Wheels

I still have my draglites, so they will work for now. I am actually contacting a local guy here who makes 1" spacers (which is all I need) and he said about $50.00 for two. They may still live yet

Best place to get Classic Mustang Wheels

Well I originally posted on here about my 16" 2005 Mustang wheels. I contacted Fred Goeske and he wanted $85.00 PER SPACER. I know his stuff is top notch, but my goodness $340.00 on top of the $200 already spent on the wheels + TIRES is crazy! So I am wondering where a good place to...
