Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

I have the aluminum in hand and a machinist lined up to make a 65mm hole. That is the 98 Explorer tb bore size, and the limitation of the T-bird style intake. Both throttle body gaskets stacked to plot out where the 65mm hole will go. ('94 Mustang gasket is sitting a tad crooked)

    T5 Identification Advice Needed

Which pilot bushing would you use to put a 5.0 in to a factory V-6 1994 Mustang?

Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

Face of 1994 intake flange. Rectangular and not as large as the explorer throttle body face. 1998 Ford Explorer throttle body gasket larger than 1994 intake flange. 1"x5"x5" piece of T6061 for flange. Are there any good and quick machinist here that I can ship "if it ships, it fits"? I need...

Engine Are dowel pins needed to align a front timing cover?

With the dowel alignment "sleeves", the timing cover only can sit in one position.

What ECU are you using? Are you using these 24 lb purples or something larger?

Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

@Mustang5L5 Thanks for replying. Friday, I mulled over several ideas and have determined that I need to make a 1" thick adapter out of aluminum to be able to use the Explorer throttle body. The engine is for a truck project and it will be using an Explorer 5.0 throttle cable. 58mm to 65mm is 12%...

Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

I thought that I had found a solution. I removed a 1999 Crown Vic throttle body. It fit on the 1994 intake with room to spare. Then I realized that it doesn't have an IAC on it. Bore was good though. 65mm. Oh well.

Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

The first pic is of a 1991 Thunderbird that first used the intake assembly that some 1994 Mustangs came with if the didn't have the GT40 style. The 2nd pick is of (my) the 1997 Mercury Mountaineer engine that has the GT40 style intake assembly. My first c-n-p project. The 3rd pick is the intake...

@General karthief Re-read. You are looking at two different engines.

Fuel Stock 1994 5.0 throttle body size

I have a 5.0 project going that includes a stock 1994 5.0 intake assembly. It is NOT the GT40 style intake. It is the style first used on the 1991 Thunderbirds. What is the stock bore off the throttle body? 58mm, 60mm? I have a 65mm '98 Explorer throttle body that I was hoping would fit however...

A 67 fast back conversion for Mrs. bbettto !

Would your new panel spotter work on the door frames? Once about 20 years ago on VMF, a guy made custom tips/tongs? about 3 ft long and the were shaped to go around the complete rocker assembly to spot weld floors to the front framerails. I wondered how he ever was able to bend them where the...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

Yeah, my Lindsay has the flat plate with the valve. I may simplify it making a plate with a 1/2" pipe bung attached and plumb it like the Econoline and see if it works. No moving parts. Yesterday I was looking at the Econoline plumbing to copy it. I can take pictures if anyone is interested...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

That Lindsay valve is just like mine that is wore out. How much are they? The way the blaster is designed in the illustration is how the big Econoline cabinet's pot works. Sand drops out of the tank/pot into an airstream. Simple but effective. ADDED: I just checked Big A's Place and the Lindsay...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

At work, we have a huge pressure washer that we acquired 1.75 years ago. It has a very large electric motor, a heavy cord is on it that looks like a welder power cord and the pump looks like a pump that would be used in a self-service jet-spray car wash. It also has a diesel or kerosene fired...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

I found mention in a 1965 ag College document that Glen Piland Company in Bakersfield CA was making liquid fertilizer injection devices for irrigation systems. I think that the valve that may be missing is not creating a pressure differential that it needs. As in the tank needs about 20 to 30...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

The black hose on the left of the Econoline is the blasting hose. We've discussed pulling that hose out and run the Lindsay hose in just to be able to do some cabinet blasting until the Econoline is fully functional. Yeah, you may be missing a ball valve on the big unit. On my Lindsay the water...

1965 Mustang Fastback for future project & sand blasting discussion. Anyone welcome to input

The portable unit is a Lindsay 35 pound pressure blaster. That is not big enough to hold a whole 50 pound bag. It runs out about the time to stop and refill while the 7 hp 60 gallon compressor catches up. We have a second comparable old Sears compressor that we are trying to find rebuild parts...
