Is the inner shift boot for a t-56 and a t-5 the same? This is the metal one that screws to the floor board and has a rubber boot that keeps the road grime and noise out of the cabin. This is going on a 88 LX Hatch. I have the FMS 5.0 t-56 Thanks for the help. T3

I have what i belive to be a bad rag joint on my car. Can i replace the joint with a aftermarket disk or should I get a new lower shaft? It appears that one of the straps on the rag joint has broken b/c you can turn the shaft one way (about a 1/2 turn) and rack the other and then it will catch...
