Ford finally figured out the 6 speed is the way to go. Good for them. I'm glad theyve finally caught up to the ls1. I can't wait to see how the gt develops. With these specs on the v6 the gt should easilly crush the camaro in handling acceleration and quarter mile times.

Yeah I've been looking at all options (mach 1s, bullitts, saleens, cobras). The mach 1s seem to be even more rare than cobras. I haven't seen any really at a good price so far.

Yeah I've seen a few on autotrader for 19k one with 31k miles and one with 50k. I also saw one with 72k for 17k. I'm just looking for some baselines to compare to. 15k would be sweet but it might not be worth it if the mileage is high.

I dont think it would look so bad if you cut out the lettering and replaced it with a semi clear panel on the underside so it appears like the letters were made of semi clear plastic and not cut out. :shrug: However I do believe just cutting them out is tacky looking and cheap.:notnice:

If by 97 you mean 87 then the computer should be able to deal with it however you should really switch to mass air if you havent already as it will make it way less of a pain to properly tune.

You will need to find headers for those heads if you do plan on swapping them onto the 5.0 block. And they should fit any 5.0 block from 79-95. Another thing to mention is the 90+ t5 trannys are rated to take more punishment then the 89- just something to consider if you plan on having a t5

The explorer has gt-40 heads which flow a lot better and the explorer intake which is also superior to the fox intake. In addition the explorer tb is 65mm while fox is 55mm as i recal. The downfal to the explorer motor is the cam which needs to be swapped from a torque cam to a horsepower/ race...
