Looking to add a bit more hp....

I looked real hard at doing this, but what it finally came down to is like 65% of the performance for 75% of the cost. Unless you have some total desire to stay NA, it is more cost effective to go FI.

Looking at an 07 GT. What is the deal with the gas pedal?

I just had to replace my accelerator pedal because it basically stopped responding at low rpm's (i.e., minor pressing of the pedal from the idle position.) Just seemed to have went bad on me. With the new pedal I am now back with instant response with just a minor pressing of the pedal.

    Can someone confirm this?

The Ford FRPP GTA mufflers are a good choice for just a bit more volume at a reasonable cost without any drone.

    Question on 2008 GT

No, it does not have DRLs. As I recall, they were not offered at all.

    3.55, 3.73 ????

For a 2008, the only gears you could get for an auto were 3.31s. A manual did have an option for 3.55s. I would presume that Ford did not change things in 2009.

    Strut Rod Nut?

They will be metric, I believe. But a bunch of different sizes at a home improvement store and see which one fits.

    2011 Black or Red Candy?

Black. How boring. DCAR with stripes. :D Maybe silver would look good also.

    Best CAI?

WMS sells a CAI that does not need a tune. Check them out. I have gotten may nice comments about it. And I know of another Stang that also has this CAI. This was one of the first mods I put and haven't had any problems with it. Although it is a bit more in terms of installations, the kit is...

    Need Mellow, Least Drone Mufflers

Well, I know that these won't fit, but the Ford GTA mufflers would be perfect. Just a touch louder than the stock mufflers, but with a good sound. And no drone.

    Quick question: JLT vs WMS?

In real life, there is probably no noticeable difference in CAIs. If we assume that a JLT gives an increase of 20 rwhp and that the WMS is 10% less, that is only 2 rwhp. And on a car that is 255 rwhp (stock), that is less then 1%. My only point here is that you shouldn't make decisions...

For all those with steeda sport or ultralites

I have the ultralights with the non-adjustable dampers. Took awhile (but I was also doing the anti-sway bars). I found it to be straight forward - un-bolt and re-bolt. I did not find that I needed new strut mounts or chamber bolts.

    Booze Brothers Racing Mustang

Well, what you need is a relative who works for Ford and get a a-plan number from them. Cheapest price for a Ford with no hassle. :) (Unless the dealership is willing to sell a car for below cost themselves.)

    Booze Brothers Racing Mustang

I agree with kooldawg, but that is a nice looking "special edition". Usually they are over the top AFAIC, but but that looks like a really nice "retro" look. :nice:

    Trunk release switch

I don't think putting in a un-secured trunk release button in a convertible is such a good ideal. What I did is to buy the Ford Keyless Entry Keypad. No way was I going to stick this on my door though, so I stuck it to the inside of the gas lid. The lid closes just fine and I have access to...

OK...So Im a suspension idiot, ill admit!

I put on the Steeda Ultralites and their non-adjustable shocks/struts last year and am very happy with them. Along with the Eibach anit-sway bars front and back. I am getting the LCAs, relocation brackets, adjustable UCAs, and adjustable panhard rod put on next week: these are all BMR stuff...

Have lowering springs? Who did it

I bought a set of spring compressors for around $40 and did my suspension my self. Springs, shocks/struts, and anti-sway bar.

Can someone explain/verify this for me?

Could be that they changed colors for different model years, or for different colors.
