It is common for some oil to be sucked from the PCV valve into the intake, there would be a light coating in the upper intake as well. Some things may make it worse such as no PCV valve screen, no baffle on the lower intake, but if it is only a very light coating of oil, nothing to worry about.

Take a look on Ebay, I was looking for the same as you but settled on a factory service manual. They are cheap on ebay and you can purchase a CD instead of a printed copy. Probably more technical detail than I want but lots of good reference material for the price.

Makes sense. I did ceck it out and it does bottom out and goes nowhere. It would need to be a substantial bolt to thread all the way down so makes sense to what you had described.
