    Rocker Panel Moldings

I did a similar thing to my Torch Red, I just went on eBay and found a set from a 6Cyl which are black chip resistant matt plastic. With a black border all the way around it makes the whole car look slimmer and more aggresive IMHO. Don't forget to black out your GT emblems on the front...

    A 12 Second S197?

What kind of times are you running now? Nevermind! I just re-read your post and you havn't had it to the track sorry.... EDIT: You can see by my old list of mods we are similar, and I ran low 13's. With the addition of the second list of I expect to hit 12.7 or better. I will find...

    Throttle Body

I did cams, larger CAI and deletes at the same time so it's hard to say how much the TB helped on it's own.

    Throttle Body

I just did this very thing to my 05 GT. It is also known as the "MSVT" tb. if you are referring to the twin bore 60mm tb. They are on sale at CJ Pony parts for $129 shipped. http://www.cjponyparts.com/product.asp?pn=TB100 There are two possible fitment problems. (1) The four...

    Simple traction control disable

I had my TC permanently turned OFF in my tune, the "swerving car" light stays on but who cares.

Drag strip - traction control on or off ?

Your car won't even do a burn out with the TC engaged.

What spark plugs with Hot Rod cams?

Without FI or high compression you don't really need a colder plug in my opinion. I have the HR cams and the tech told me the normal heat range is fine. But if somebody else has other information to the contrary I'd like to hear that too.

    Granatelli TB

Very nice piece for sure. But if you don't absolutly need 62mm as opposed to 60mm $559 seems like a lot to me when with a little adjustment, the SVT TB is only $129 shipped, personally I can live without the billet look. but that's just my opinion...

    Granatelli TB

That photo was just to show that the CAI coupling was way too small for the GT 500 TB. What I did was this... No leaks but not as neat as I'd have liked though.

    Granatelli TB

I agree, the FRPP is nice and shiney but that's almost $400 difference in price for an additional 2 mm and "bling."

    Granatelli TB

I just installed the MSVT TB on my '05 GT a couple of days ago. It's the twin bore 60 mm Tb that came on GT 500's I think. There was a little bit of "adjustment" to make it fit but I got mine from CJPony Parts for $129.00 shipped. EDIT: LINK >>>--->...

    Pully's or Gears

Gears are a real seat of the pants acceleration improvement that pulleys won't give you. Do both, but Gears first. (4.10s)

    2010 Auto...no burnout?

A line lock is the best way to go and saves the heat build up and destruction of your rear breaks. I just turn the traction control off and my auto makes plenty of smoke.

Heading to the strip, advice needed

That helmet is a cycle helmet, and it's says it is M rated Snell 2010 You are lucky I guess because at the sanctioned tracks I have been to they do inspect and if it's not SA2005 it won't pass. A mere motorcycle helmet is not fire rated period, and a motorcycle helmet is tested for pavement...

Heading to the strip, advice needed

Several companies make Upper Control Arms, Like BMR or Steeda etc. You should probably get an adjustable one with an upgraded upper mount.

Heading to the strip, advice needed

Full face? Yes, there are people using motorcycle helmets but they are not IHRA or NHRA legal. I used one first time out but if it is inspected by tech you will not race with just a cycle helmet. The face sheild or lack there of has nothing to do with legal or not. If it's an "outlaw" track...

Heading to the strip, advice needed

No, it's not that easy especially on a stock or lightly modified car. But wheel hop is a problem with S197 cars if your suspension is completely stock. If wheel hop becomes a problem, then you may need an Upper Copntrol Arm upgrade which is usually less than $200 for the parts. Just take...
