i was removing the a/c stuff from under the hood of my 91 LX Notch 4 cylinder today(a/c didnt work) and had the air intake hose off to make some room....before i put it back on a manually cranked the throttle body open just to see how dirty it was inside....i noticed that with the throttle cable...

so no problems then?....kinda had me worried as the previous owner said the engine was rebuilt about 3 yrs ago i havent had the valve covers off or anything but i havent noticed any sludge either so maybe its justa good tight engine

when i got my 87 GT i noticed the factory oil pressure gauge would go to about middle ways up upon startup and stay there...after hearing how innaccurate the factory gauges are i installed 3 aftermarket gauges in the dash a/c vent...now when i start the car it goes up to 50psi and after warmup...

compression was increased from 8.4:1 in 85 to 9.2:1 in 86...compression in 87 was 9.0:1 so a marginal loss of .2:1 compression with E7TE heads

i have tranny, kickdown linkage, and modulator vacuum tube from 78 Ford truck with a 302 in it this one points straight up which i think is for column shift vehicles but im going to use a B&M or HURST aftermarket shifter see above gotta wiring diagram or can ya explain a little...

I'm looking at swapping a C4 tranny in place of my T5 as ive had a C4 given to me and my T5 is on its last legs(pops out of 1st, grinds going into 3rd and 4th) so im wondering what all i have to change to get the C4 to work in my 87 GT my other swap question is does anyone make a regulator...

and yet strangely enough i like it a little :shrug:

low fuel pressure will cause one to pop and spit as well....check vacuum line to regulator and fuel pressure...pump could be going bad or filter could be stopped up

i live in Chattanooga and while there are several nice tourist traps here to visit there is nothing Mustang related worth seeing ...we do have the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Hamilton Place Mall....not much other than that

i have a stock engine but i have added MAC 1 3/4 shorty's and an offroad H pipe that goes from 2.5 at the headers down to the crossover pipe then into 3 inch pipe back to 2 chamber Flows with turndowns...sounds really good to me

ok i scanned it at work today using an INNOVA OBD 1 scanner and found the following codes KOEO: 23....memory codes 34 and 63 KOER: 21, 23, 41, and 91 everything i read seems to point to a faulty TPS and O2 sensors disregard the CTS code as i replaced it about 2 weeks ago so i know...

i work for OReilly Auto Parts and our house brand oil is made by Exxon(think Superflo)...our housebrand filters are made by Purolator....i can get 5 qts of our oil and our filter for about $5 so unless the price of oil comes way down soon im sticking with it...hasnt let me down yet

ok let me rephrase my answer LOL i had the base idle down to 600 and it held steady...but when i plugged the IAC back in it started the surging again after about 5 minutes of driving as for dumping the codes im half scared to as so far ive noticed that just about every item on this 100K...
