    when i got my 87 GT i noticed the factory oil pressure gauge would go to about middle ways up upon startup and stay there...after hearing how innaccurate the factory gauges are i installed 3 aftermarket gauges in the dash a/c vent...now when i start the car it goes up to 50psi and after warmup...

    compression was increased from 8.4:1 in 85 to 9.2:1 in 86...compression in 87 was 9.0:1 so a marginal loss of .2:1 compression with E7TE heads

    no idle

    low fuel pressure will cause one to pop and spit as well....check vacuum line to regulator and fuel pressure...pump could be going bad or filter could be stopped up

    i have a stock engine but i have added MAC 1 3/4 shorty's and an offroad H pipe that goes from 2.5 at the headers down to the crossover pipe then into 3 inch pipe back to 2 chamber Flows with turndowns...sounds really good to me

    ok i scanned it at work today using an INNOVA OBD 1 scanner and found the following codes KOEO: 23....memory codes 34 and 63 KOER: 21, 23, 41, and 91 everything i read seems to point to a faulty TPS and O2 sensors disregard the CTS code as i replaced it about 2 weeks ago so i know...

    STORE BRAND OIL/FILTER MYTHS...STILL GOOD OIL?

    i work for OReilly Auto Parts and our house brand oil is made by Exxon(think Superflo)...our housebrand filters are made by Purolator....i can get 5 qts of our oil and our filter for about $5 so unless the price of oil comes way down soon im sticking with it...hasnt let me down yet
