    fill the relifes in the piston with clay. with the motor assembled turn it over slow a few times. pull the head off and look at the impression in the clay to determine your clearance

    i would go with the ported and polished e7's, and try to find the ones that have the heart shaped chambers. that'll bump your comression up a little. you could even use a set of 351w heads ported and polished.

    the 7.5 would be ok if your doin a 5.0 swap and dont want posi. if your goin any bigger than a 5.0 i would get a 8.8 rear. the swap itself isnt that hard. you just have to fight old rusty stuff, but is nothing a s*** load of penetrating oil cant fix. i just did the swap in my 93 coupe bout 5...

    hey guys im in the process of rebuilding my motor for my 4 cyl swap. i got a used short block from a town car that had the non-h.o. heads. my question is that do the pistions need to be flycut for the h.o. heads to clear?
