i actually think your running too much advanced timing. usually with a reflash tuner(example: Xcal 3) you can adjust the timing anywhere from 2-4 degrees advanced. i doubt you will see any faster quarter mile times. just better throttle response. I ALWAYS suggest getting a dyno tune by a...

i do not suggest using a TORCH to check for vacuum leaks. Plastic intake......propane is an option but the safest way is to check the car is with a smoke machine. but i know most people dont have access to one.

you need to have a Evacuate, Vacuum, leak check and refrigerant recharge performed. it can tell you alot.

A Compression is the next thing you should check.(if low, do a wet compression test.)

you got the 2 rack mount bolts. you also need to un-bolt the intermediate shaft(its the one you see going toward the engine.) the bolt will come out and then you can slide the shaft off of the rack input shaft.( just remember to lock you steering wheel before you pull the intermediate shaft off...
