    NO!! NO!! Danger Will Robinson!! Welding heat will release deadly phosgene gas. Read the Link, Google , but don't let brake cleaner anywhere near welding.

    It ain't really much of a set-up, I just bent 18 Ga metal and welded to the floor and connector. I just mentioned connecting to the rocker, but I didn't do it. Here's a shot:

    I would guess subframe connectors would suffice. I bent up angles and welded mine right to the floorboards, and I wouldn't be afraid of taking the seat pans out. You can also tie the connectors into the rockers for additional peace of mind. Front torque boxes are a good idea, too, but they won't...

    OK, I looked at mine, and there are definitely 2 small roll pins thru the coupler (collar) and the shaft. The pins are small enough to make me believe the shafts are splined, or D shaped or something, so all the pins do is keep them from sliding out of the coupler. Whether you can find enough...

    IIRC, There are 2 roll pins thru the shaft and coupler. I have mine out, I'll try to remember to look at it tommorrow.

    The early cars have a nut you access from the kick panel. Pretty sure the '67 will be the same. Remove the kick panel cover, look for a round hole maybe 1" +/- dia.
