    possible 04 cobra head tick

    If your 'head tick' gets quieter as the car warms up, then it's not likely the head tick that you have. Don't forget that things expand when they heat up, and you might want to look at exhaust connections. The real head tick sounds like bb's shaken in a coffee can, on an ongoing basis...

    I was under the impression that once you put on a CAI, you almost have to do a tune, just to get it running properly? Or is this something that the dyno shops all say, to get our business?

    Won't it make more sense to save the Boss 302 for the next MY, with the rumored new 5.0 'coyote' engine? Personally, I don't want a 'lightweight' Boss with the 4.6.....we are so overdue for a new V8 (what is it, over 13 years now with the 4.6?).

    Car looks great, man, absolutely stunning! Let me ask a question, though, and this isn't dissin'..... I'm genuinely curious: Is 12psi pushing it a bit on the s/c? I had heard 8-10psi is the norm. Or does a Whipple normally handle more psi? Again, just asking, no drama or dissin :)

    Chevy rims...????

    They are nice looking wheels. So if some co. made them for Chevy, wouldn't it stand to reason that there ought to be something similar for Fords? Maybe not identical, but at least similar? Have you looked around at tirerack.com? They have a pretty good selection. Good luck :flag:

    Used 05 problems?

    There is a nuisance item with some 05's, where the gas tank wasn't properly ventilated or something like that (there is a TSB on it, but not a recall, unfortunately). My 05 V6 can be a pain sometimes to fill with gas: I can't go too fast, or the pump stops. And sometimes I have to 'wiggle'...

    If you mod it, I'd hold onto the original parts; stick them in a box in the garage. Just on the (possibly rare) chance that it does develop a cult following, a potential buyer down the road might want to keep it stock. Just my .02 (2001 Bullitt owner, pretty much stock except for a CAI)

    Single BEST and WORST about your 05+???

    Best: the looks, the styling, the ride, the comfort...... and it's an American icon. Worst: the cloth seats were a turn-off to me from day one. They just have the look of cheapness, IMO.

    Here's something odd: I just picked up a 2005 Stang 'vert, V6, AT, and it came with what *appears* to be the GT rear fascia. It already has the dual cut-outs, which I was thrilled with, if I want to upgrade to a dual exhaust. But since I"ve never seen one single V6 with a stock 'dual' rear...
