    t-5 swap question

I did the same thing you have done. With my engine and trans in the car supported by a jack and the motor mounts, my trans sat a little to the passenger side. I held it right in the middle before welding my mount in. I thought it should have been centered. I would like to see what others have done.

    347 start comming soon!!!

I forgot about this thread... I have been consumed by other hobbies since this happened. BTW, the 347 is running great. I got it back from the machine shop and re-installed the motor. Have not looked back since. I have over 2k on it now with many full throttle runs. In fact, it never comes...

    Disc Brake Conversion

Thats good news. I haven't had to get brake pads in 8 years so I was starting to wonder where to get them. OEM works for me. I can say that my brakes were significantly improved when I converted to the lincoln 9" rear with disc brakes. I never thought going from drums to disc's in the rear...

    Disc Brake Conversion

What is the everyone's opinion on the stainless steel brake corp. front disc brake setup? How does it compare to the k/h setup? I have the SSBC front brakes and they have the 4 piston calipers. My dad and I installed them years ago and I can't remember if we changed out the spindles from the...

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

Check the date of my original post, then edit your reply. You made a mistake. As for selling in this forum, I simply stated I still have the headers for these heads and would sell them.

Anyone ever heard of these heads?

I sold these heads a couple years ago. They were good in their day. With porting they can perform well today. I have a set of super comp long tubes that bolt to these heads I would like to sell cheap as I no longer need them. They fit the early stangs... pm me if interested.

    Hittin the Dyno

Wow! I was under the impression it was a blower motor as well. You are doing very well for a high compression NA motor.:D My NA 347 will never make that kind of power.

    347 start comming soon!!!

First off, the rotating assembly is CHP, but the machine work was done at a local shop. The machine shop told me they were going to replace the plugs with threaded ones this time around. My last motor had screw in galley plugs. I have no idea why I didn't think about doing it to this motor...

    347 start comming soon!!!

The glory of a new motor was short lived. I started the motor up sunday and it had no oil pressure. :jaw:I am not sure if it happened friday night when I was headed back from a buddies house or when I started it sunday. I only had 50 miles on the damn thing. It didn't make any weird noises or...

    347 start comming soon!!!

Its alive, Its alive, Its alive!!! The motor fired right up after just three pumps of the gas pedal thanks to the electric pump. Oil pressure was steady at 60lbs. We set the timing and let it idle for a few minutes. Looked under it for leaks and all is well. The new motor is very snappy when I...

    347 start comming soon!!!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I am going with a T5 transmission. I am actually doing that swap at the same time. It has been quite a conversion if you ask me. I will be painting my T5 crossmember tonight that I built and mounting it for the last time. I also picked up my driveshaft today. :D...

    347 start comming soon!!!

347 first start comming soon!!! I have not posted any progress on this forum, but I have been at it a good portion of the winter. I have built a CHP 347 in a roller block with 10.2-1 compression. It has forged pistons, rods and a cast Scat crank. All hardware is ARP. The heads are twisted wedge...

    notching a block for a 347

Here is a couple of pics of the notching needed for a standard 3.4" 347 stroker crank. This is on a '90 roller motor that I am in the process of making a 347 out of. :D

    VIN stamped on engine block?

I agree. My boss block was stamped on the top rear of the block behind the intake. It was only the numeric production number though. The date code was also stamped into the block near the front of the deck. On the same surface that the head bolts too only right at the front edge.
