Great info guys. I am reading all of this but still scratching my head about the driveshaft. Say the car is a 67-68 Mustang, 302 with a T5 and an 8.8" What is the best choice for the driveshaft? Aluminum is prefered.

great post. I have a question about welding in the spring perch tabs. How can I be certain that I have the pinion angle set correctly? In other words, how do I know that the positioning (rotation) of the perches is correct before I weld?

Update 12-29-07 Just wanted to give you all a quick update. The new IAC fixed my stalling problem that I described above. When I removed the old IAC and touched the internals with a screwdriver, it basically fell apart from being so brittle. Now the speedometer is next up on the list...

yup, I had similar symptoms. The IAC worked wonders... $60 at your local pepboys... good luck

Problem solved, it was a stuck IAC I replaced it and the car purrs like a kitten again. :flag:

A few more details yes I included the gasket and torqued to spec the vacuum is stable at 18inches I measured the resistance between the IAC leads and they were 0-ohms (short) I ran codes and got the following results: KOEO - 111 system pass KOER - 332 Insufficient EGR flow...

Some background info would help. Is the car sitting high on just one corner? Or are you looking to drop the front end? If one corner is sitting high, be aware that cutting that spring will raise the diagonal rear. Been there done that. My brother's 93GT sat very high in the rear driver side...
