    Rear End Vibration!?

Interesting discussion folks. I too had brand new FMS 4.30 gears installed in my 96 Cobra two weeks ago and am noticing just a bit of vibration starting at about 2800RPM in 5th gear. I can hear/feel the high frequency vibration throughout the entire car but interestingly the shifter is not...

    8.8 fitment in 66?

Excellent, thanks for the help. Last thing... when it comes to actually positioning the leaf spring tabs prior to welding, how do you recommend I go about this? Should I position the rear over the leafs and jack it up to ride height, make my measurements, and then tack them in place? I...

    8.8"

Great info guys. I am reading all of this but still scratching my head about the driveshaft. Say the car is a 67-68 Mustang, 302 with a T5 and an 8.8" What is the best choice for the driveshaft? Aluminum is prefered.

    8.8 fitment in 66?

Thank you for the feedback. One more question... "Put the angle finder on the crank pulley and get the angle. If the drivetrain is pointed down 2*, then you want your rear end to point up 2*. To measure the pinion angle, you put the angle finder on the pinion yoke where it u joint mates...

I just started looking into this, but what are the panhard bar options out there for a 67-68 Mustangs (In this case using a 8.8" from a 87-93 fox with traction masters control arms) I have seen some generic panhards available at Summit, but would like to gain some insight to this before...

    8.8 fitment in 66?

great post. I have a question about welding in the spring perch tabs. How can I be certain that I have the pinion angle set correctly? In other words, how do I know that the positioning (rotation) of the perches is correct before I weld?

Update 12-29-07 Just wanted to give you all a quick update. The new IAC fixed my stalling problem that I described above. When I removed the old IAC and touched the internals with a screwdriver, it basically fell apart from being so brittle. Now the speedometer is next up on the list...

Help, car idles at 3000 rpm after IAC cleaning and battery reset

My 94GT has had a funny idle as of late. When it I shut down the car, and start it back up again while the car is hot, I notice the idle dips a little lower than usual sometimes, around 500RPM. It only does it when it is hot. I disconnected the battery, removed the IAC, cleaned it with...

Please provide feedback regarding various problems with newly aquired 94GT

Interestingly enough, I repositioned the spacers so there is an equal number of spacers above and below the plate, and I tightened the strut nut down tightly. Clunk gone. I also replaced the steering rack and tie rod ends... Nice to have the rack leak gone. I made sure to include a steering...

What Front Coil Overs to Get???

Some background info would help. Is the car sitting high on just one corner? Or are you looking to drop the front end? If one corner is sitting high, be aware that cutting that spring will raise the diagonal rear. Been there done that. My brother's 93GT sat very high in the rear driver side...

Yup, I posted it on cafords.com and you may have seen it on CL because I posted pictures of it to sell the 99GT wheels that I have. Balancer looks good. I replaced the timing chain last month so I had a chance to inspect it while it was off. It looks ok. I can't see any sign of the two...
