    when it comes to Automatics...

Was that through a manual or auto? I know the thread is about an auto, but just wondering on your car. With a 4R70W having a 1:1 3rd gear, a 26 in tire with 4.10 gears should give you around 125 mph if I did my math right. If that was through a 4r and you were hitting that at the 1000 foot...

    Auto Rpm shift points

That depends a lot on your car. With a stock v6, dont go too high because you will run out of the power band of the engine. Try moving the shift point around to see where the car feels like it is moving the best both right before and right after the shift. Also, keep in mind that there...

    when it comes to Automatics...

What size tire were you running and what is your redline? On the car that I am building now I am going to use a 4.56 gear with 28 inch tires and plan to turn it to around 7k. That will limit me to 128mph max. I can see 115 with 4.10's putting you close to trouble if you had 26 inch tires...

    torque conbverter and 1/4 mile

You all do realize that you can end the argument about the stall on the stock converter by doing the math, right? K factor for the stock converter=155 Torque of engine= ~300ft/lb k factor times the square root of torque= approx stall sqrt of 300= ~17 155x17=2635 Easy as punch...

    Torque Converter Question

Now thats just not true. I moved away from a certain converter builder due to unresolvable issues. The company that I went with is TCS. They make parts for most everyone in the converter business. You really need to stop listening to the sources that you have been and take a moment to find...
