    2000 Cobra R front Pads

I have the HPS on my 97. They've been great street pads and gave me great performance oon track days. Very durable and best used with plain Brembo rotors.

Are any modifications required to swap an 03/04 Cobra radiator into a 97 Cobra? Thanks Tom

    2000 Cobra R front Pads

I put the Brembo calipers on my 97 Cobra. The factory pads were dirty and LOUD!!!, plus they died pretty quickly. Try the Hawk pads for that application. Several track weekends and thousands of miles later, they're still good!

    advance auto radiator part number

Using the part number- 433138- that I gleaned from other sites, I went to Autozone this morning and bought a new radiator. THREE core, not two, all copper-brass construction. A measured 2" thickness. I looked at the critical solder joints and everything looks good. $200. Time wil tell. I...

    advance auto radiator part number

I did the search to no avail. Several years ago I bought a two or three core copper radiator from Advance Auto for a Mustang 5.0. It was not the stock replacement, but a larger one. The parts counter guys don't know how to reference the correct radiator. Any chance that someone here has the...

    Motorsport thermostat question

I've had a Motorsport high flow stat in my 89 for at least five years, and it finally gave up the ghost. The part number on the stat is EOSE-8575-AA. I can't find any listing for this part number. Has it changed? Any suggestions for a premium thermostat? Thanks Tom

    BRAKE PART ID HELP!!!!!

I have a rear disc conversion setup I bought a while back from another Stangnet member. I no longer have his email. I'm trying to ID the parts he sold me. The brackets bolt to an 8.8 rear. They have no numbers, but are cast-marked "Ford Motorsport", and LH and RH. They have no "ears" for...

    What's the best chip???

Except for some suspension mods, my 50k mile 97 Cobra is stock. I want to add a little power (doesn't everyone?), and thought a chip might be a good choice. Do any of them actually work, in the sense of getting more real HP? Other suggestions in the $1,000 range would be appreciated. Thanks...

    2000 Cobra R brakes

Do the 2000 Cobra R front brakes require an 18" wheel, or will 17s go over the setup? Thanks Thom

    best street/performance brake pads???

I'm looking for front pads for my 97 Cobra and Cobra equipted 89 Saleen. I'd like something fairly rotor friendly for HPDE events and track days, plus good cold braking. My wife drives like a maniac, and has no comprehension of pedal modulation. My stock pads barely make it through HPDE...

Is 20w50 to heavy to use on my 93k Cobra?

Try using 5-50 synthetic. I've run it since new in a GT-40 crate motor with 240k miles, and cylinder pressure and leakdown are well within factory specs. Still have great oil pressure, too. It's a little expensive, but I think it's worth it. Thom

    drawings/specs for full length subs???

Finally getting around to doing the suspension for my 97 Cobra. I need drawings or specs for some full length subs. Are they different from other 94-98s or Fox body subs? Thanks Thom

    Cobra springs on a Fox???

My 97 Cobra with 40k miles is getting a suspension makeover, and my 92 vert needs one. I'm interested in putting the Cobra springs and the rear upper and lower control arms on the vert. I'm pretty sure the control arms will work, but what about the springs? I want to maintain close to stock...

    90 7UP vert-any idea of value?

I have a 7UP vert with 50k original miles, excellent shape, new Ford top and new correct paint. Clean carfax. Everything works. My wife bought this car from a family member, we don't drive it, and I'd like the room in the garage for my Saleen. I have no idea of value, and I'd appreciate any...

    exhaust question about Magnaflow

I've got a chance to pick up a cheap 2 1/2" stainless steel Mangaflow cat back for my 89 Saleen. I've had Flowmaster 2 1/2" 2 chambers before, and they resonated so badly that I couldn't hear the radio. I was almost ready to put on the Flowmaster 3 chamber system, but the Magnaflow is all...

    Strut Tower Brace Install

One other thing you might want to consider. If you're putting in a STB, it's quite possible some caster-camber plates might be in your future, too. Not all STB/CC plate combos will fit together on the strut tower without some fabrication. If you get plates, get the vendor to tell you what's...

Lets compile a list of things that can cause bad idle

And if all else fails, try this! Ford makes an Idle Air Bypass spacer, and it's a real cure-all for surging idle on 5.0s due to aftermarket parts, such as TBs, bigger MAF, bigger cam or intake, etc. I had all those bolt-ons, and more, and this worked a miracle for me. The piece has 2 part...
