Hey guys got a question that is some what answered but not for sure. Will a 98 gt auto trans bolt up to a 95 mark viii motor ?.

Hey im doing the same swap on a 1998 gt. It has a auto unfortunately! do you really need to change the yoke ? Also for the Mark VIII swap you will need an cobra intake manifold if its 1993-1996 i think it is, as the stock one will hit the firewall.:canada:

Is there any place that anyone knows of where you can buy after market intake manifolds ? I cant seem to find a stock one anywhere so now am looking for a after market for my 95 mark viii swap. Thanks

Im going to look into that but from what ive seen so far theres not much for under 800 around me . I really would like to get one. I plan on rebuilding the motor in a year or two and maybe eventually a KB. Me personally ill be using stock k member.

Is it just the v6 that ppl have problem with the brake booster or is it the gt too ? maybe that will work ? Im going to be doing the swap somewhat soon so i can tell you then but that will be a lil wile

from what i understand the one from the gt will bolt right on but im not 100% sure. /////if you can get parts mark viii i would im stuck looking for ecm and air intake atm ! Cant seem to find one and im going to be using the 95 intake manifold(i hope) and because of that there are no K&N cold...

1stanger1 if the mark oil pan is used what about the little reservoir on the side of the pan? its really in the way ......can it be removed? i heard because of this you need to change it

I actually am in the middle of starting and doing this swap ! Im putting a 1995 mark viii dohc in my 98 gt. SO far all i know of is you need maybe a new intake depending on year, maybe a hood(clearance) and computer IF you want the IMRC's which imo is worth keeping. At low Rpm you will looses...
