It did come with some Dynomat, and I do tend to rest my hand on the shift knob. I guess I will have to lose my hand rest! BTW, the "whine has lessened quite a bit in the last few days.

I just installed a Tri-Ax in my 08 GT today (santa brought it) and now it sounds like I have developed a transmission whine during acceleration. Everything is tight, and I did install one shim washer on each side at the back end of the shifter. Any suggestions? It does seem to shift OK. Thanks!

We had the National show here in Columbus a couple of years ago and it was HUGE. Mustangs everywhere and it was in a hotel parking lot as well. The organizers had Mustangs parked all over the place. I would highly recommend going.

Check out Speed Dawgs - I got a really cool blue acrylic knob and they have adapters for the Mustang thread pitch.

I bought my GT new in April of 08, it now has 25.8K on it. It is my DD, but for 6 mos of the year I only drive to work twice a month so that really keep the miles down. I do drive it in OH snow, unless it is really deep, then I wait until the roads get cleared.

My 2008 GT has just started a rather nasty brake squeal, sounds like it is coming from the rear. The squeal occurs just about every time I brake. The car has just a bit over 20K on it. Have any of you experienced this, and if so how did you fix it? New pads? If you changed pads, which ones...

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I missed it - how effective are the K member braces when installed in a coupe? do they really help stiffen up the front end?

I got CDC sequentials from CJ's. Their price was really good, and the CDC units apre plug and play. I took my time, and I spent all of about 30 min installing them.

Does anyone here know what the changeover date to the new heads was? I have an '08 built in Aug. '07, so not sure if I have the new or old style plugs. Only have 12,000 on it, so if I have the two piece design, need to do it soon.

I had Line-X sprayed in the bed of a pickup I had - you couldn't hurt that stuff! I hauled all the materials to build a deck as well as mulch, dirt, trees, concrete blocks, etc, and all that happened was it wasn't quite as black afterwards. They did have to sand the bed with extremely course...

My current is Vista Blue, although I think the Dark Green Metallic from '71 or Indian Fire from '69 would look really good on the S197's. Silver accents on the dark green and flat black on the copper....:nice:

Any of you have any information on MRT hoods? Are they comparable to a Cervini's hood? I just found this one and have always liked this hood style - the '68 is one of the first Mustangs I ever had any real contact with, so this style brings back some good memories

The Steeda one does as well, or at least it fit over the plenum cover on my car :nice:
