    fuel cell install

not an actual need, just something different. This being a 20 year old Ontario Canada car, there are a few rust holes in the trunk area. For some reason they like to rust out in the filler neck area. Some of the spare tire well is showing some holes. I thought as long as I'm making up new sheet...

    460 and handling?

had one in my 78 Fairmont. It was street only,so I didn't care, but it handled OK. Thinking of putting one in my 90 coupe, or a 351W(different thread). With aluminum heads and intake weight comes down to a stock 351W. Again if it's a street car, I don't care.

    how would you build it

humm...no big block fans yet. I forgot to mention I'll keep it carb'd for cost. Also it needs to be emission tested in "hot rod" class. However parameters are up to 10 times larger than normal. By the way,the Mach 1 rims look pretty good on the hatch.

    how would you build it

I have a 90 4cyl. coupe. It's completely stripped and gutted. What engine would you put in,I have a 351W non roller,a 429 and 460. Punching them out is fine. Looking for 450-500 HP,but streetable, and not tempermental. Also would you do a sleeper car, one color(white silver/gray), bland rims...

    k-member

I'm about to remove the stock k-member off of my '90 coupe for blasting. Is there a procedure for reinstalling it back in when it's painted. Any measuring before taking it off or during assembly. Or is it idiot proof and just bolts in? The car is totally gutted right now and will be blasted...

    The 2011 Ford Mustang Details

you might want to lease them first.Talking to a buddy that works at the Essex plant, there are some loose lips in the plant. There "could","might" be an ecoboost version, supercharged version AND a twin turbo version. As well as "possibly" a 5.0 in the F150 later in the year. "Just speculation"...

Anyone planning on dropping the new 5.0 into a classic?

just got back from the mailbox with latest edition of 5.0 Mustang, and a big write up of the 5.0 4V. Basically it weighs 430 lbs as delivered(no alt,A/C or starter). Same bell housing bolt pattern and engine mounting as 4.6. Can be used in rear drive platforms(F150?) And engineered right from the...

Anyone planning on dropping the new 5.0 into a classic?

Windsor Star - Breaking news Ontario, business, sports, entertainment and more I'm sorry if this doesn't work, I'm not computer savvy, but in todays Windsor Star(windsorstar.com) there is an article(you'll have to scroll down a bit) from the Detroit Auto show just across the river. There is a...

Anyone planning on dropping the new 5.0 into a classic?

most definately this will be a modular motor. In this case modular means it shares various parts with other motors in this family and they can all be built on the same line. As is the case with the current modular family both here in Windsor and Romeo we are able to run the 4.6,5.4 and 6.8 down...

    66 Coupe Rocker Panels

it depends on the overall theme or look you are going for with your restomod. If the outside is to stay mostly stock appearing and your keeping lots of chrome, then I think it would look good. If your going for a more aggressive look,or racier or more modern where much of the chrome is painted or...

Anyone planning on dropping the new 5.0 into a classic?

Hi wicked, it was the mustang version, management here say they haven't heard if it is going into the truck yet(just like there was no new 5.0). Last few years Ford hasn't given out any freebies. But like I said, when I get back, there are a couple management guys that are car guys and have seen...

    The 5.0 Mustang is Back!

Hi,a little info on the 5.0 I'm laid off from the Windsor site that makes the 5.4/6.8 v10, and now the new 5.0 in the Essex plant(hopefully that's where I'll be called back to). A few buddies are now working in the Essex plant and one went to the dyno room to see two 5.0's running. They were...

Anyone planning on dropping the new 5.0 into a classic?

I don't mean to side track the thread, but a note on the 5.0. A buddy of mine works in the plant where they're starting to build them(hopefully that's where I get called back to). There were two running on the dyno's making 430hp running at 7200 rpm non stop for..........300 hrs! I remember the...

    Fiberglass parts wanted

The K.A.R hood I got would require a good amount of work for a driver, but needs a lot for something for show quality like I'm after. Also my body guy beefed up the latch area with a long piece of aluminum riveted to the fiberglass. He felt there wasn't enough meat there to safely use the...
