    "PINKS"

I love Pinks all Out because you see some high dollar street cars show up. And then there are all the cars that break big time!

    Engine and Tranny From Europe?

Its not necessarily just cheap labor. Ford is very strong in Europe and even though labor is no bargain in France and the weak dollar makes it worse, it makes sense to maximize production where ever possible. At least with the tranny and engine you know where they are made. With all the...

    First Shelby Cobra Oil Change

Thanks for the info. I bought a couple of the Mobil 1 filters but I think I'll go back to the Motorcraft for half the price.

    First Shelby Cobra Oil Change

I noticed recently that Mobil 1 has their own brand of oil filter. Does anyone know anything about them?

    s197 cougar

A S197 Cougar would be easy to manufacture on the same assembly line as the Mustang. With Mustang sales fading a bit, the Cougar could be built off the same platform and pick up 20-30,000 unit sales.

    Convertible top repair

It didnt' look like a Do it Yourself job for this owner. I took it to an upholstery shop recommended by my Ford dealer and paid $475. If it had been through the dealer they would have charged me $600.

    Convertible top repair

ABA District 9 bass tournament. I had a limit of largemouths that weighed 14.4 lbs. with a 4.78 lunker. :nice: All told it was worth $553, most of which will go to repairing the Mustang. We were fishing the Upper Chesapeake Bay.

    Convertible top repair

Thanks for the quick reply. At least the money I won fishing in a bass tournament on Sat. will cover it. The window broke when my wife had the car and she felt just awful!!

    Convertible top repair

The rear window in my 2000 GT convertible shattered yesterday. Does anyone have any experience in what this is going to cost? Thanks.

    Disappointed with new California Special

Ford has a long history of taking parts from the bin for "special" models. My '92 SHO had front fenders and headlights from the Sable.

    I Could Have Screamed!

Man, that rebar thing happened to my wife in her '92 SHO. Ripped a big tear clear through the front bumper cover. "Fortunately" my oldest daughter t-boned a whitetail later and the cover, hood and fender had to be replaced anyways. Sorry to hear about your stang.

GT500 tested in the new Car and Driver...

Motor Trend also has a cross-country test of the GT500 in the issue just hitting the newstands. Their accelaration times were similar to C&D and overall they loved the car. BTW - Motor Trend never had a previous Cobra as fast as C&D's so they were impressed with the power in the new GT500.

    GT500 1/4 times?

A '65 Nova weighed 3900 lbs.? I would have thought that they were lighter than that.

Ford announces the 265 HP, 3.5L Duratec 35

Ford's gonna have a lot of demand for this motor in the 500, Montego, Freestyle, Edge, Mk X, Zephyr (or whatever they're gonna call it). Hopefully, they'll save some for the Mustang.

Yeah Baby Just put my order in!!!!!!!

Congrats on the white with blue stripes - the "best" combo. I saw an absolutely pristine '67 Shelby Mustang on a car carrier yesterday in white with blue stripes. Its still a stunning car.

coupe vs. vert - need feedback

Gorilla - go with the 'vert. Your wife will love you for it and that can have its own benefits. There is no difference in winter comfort between the 'vert and the coupe and NY summers have moderate temps that are made for 'verts. Think of cruising the Adirondacks or the Finger Lakes region...

    8,000 units

I wouldn't think that it would be difficult to squeeze another 8000 units out. As for V6 supplies, my local dealer doesn't have enough. I checked on how many Escapes are on the lot compared to Mustangs (the Escape outsells the 'stang by about 30%) and there were 21 Escapes compared to only 8...

    Mustang Road Trip!

Just put in some nice tunes, stock up on some road food, and enjoy the ride. What in the world are you worried about? Cruising down the highway at 2500 rpm won't bother it a bit.

If you've had your fuel tank replaced, please read...

This isn't really relevent, but it does make sense that this problem differs depending upon the gas station. I have a fill problem, similar to the Mustang problem, with my boat. At some stations it is practically impossible to get gas into at anything other than a dribble. But every once in a...
