I would purchase a lentech myself. They have been around for a long time and I've heard nothing but good things about them. When I have the extra cash my wifes car will be getting a lentech tranny and converter for her convertible.
If you are looking to use a power source that is on when the key is in the key on engine off position, I usually use the hot wire on the alternator. Or you could pick up a power source off one of the wires that come off the solenoid.
I am Looking to find a kit I can fabricate and install in my 408 windsor I am building over the winter. It is going to be a drag race only engine, using a vacuum pump.

i think you are thinking of the blocks where all the mains have 4 bolt caps.
I thought i saw a "sportsman series block" (like the R302) advertised with 4 bolt center caps only.

I have always used the 94-95 calipers.

I would recommend using Busch Chemicals Aluminum Polish.
Many polishes are amonia based, which hazes when it gets damp
or wet. Busch's aluminum polish is not amonia based, and has seemed
to keep my parts looking better-longer.
