    Spark plug and shifter issues?

I'm not so sure. My 08 was built in April 08 and has the AB engine code as it supposedly should. However, I looked at a few 09 valve covers today on cars that were built in LATE 08 and they have code AA on the valve cover?! Now i'm not so sure what to think. I guess those of us with 08's or 09's...

    Heated seat not working?

Lol true. I grew up in St Petersburg so I know you prolly don't need heated seats down there. Having said that....I find that mine's 2 tenths quicker to 60 mph if my tushie is warm and comfy! :rlaugh:

    Heated seat not working?

Yes it's part of the "Comfort Group" package. I ordered it on my 08 and love it. It also includes a power passenger seat and heat in both front seats. It only has one heat setting though, unlike in the trucks etc that have a high and low setting. Mine seems to heat up like gangbusters for about...

mid pitched squeal from rear wheel

What year is your car? That's exactly what my '08 started doing at about 3k miles. Turned out it was right rear axle shaft runout (wobble) that was slightly glazing the brake pads. It only squealed on left turns and when applying the brakes lightly. Apparently its fairly common and was covered...

Tinted windows and automatic window ???

He should be fine if he has a decent installer. I work at a Ford dealership and we tint pretty much every Mustang we sell and never have a problem. Most tint installers leave a small gap (1/8 ") or so around the top edge of the window anyway. This is about all of the glass that pops up into the...

Tinted windows and automatic window ???

My guess is you will have no problems with the new tint. I tinted mine when new and the window drop didn't hurt anything. Besides, if you did disable the drop somehow then you wouldn't be able to open the door! :nice:

08 gt tire air pressure sensor

I ran into this on my '08. Ordered it with stock 17's and got a deal on chrome 18's. The actual sensor can be switched over but you do have to buy new bands. Got mine at my dealership for about 40 bucks apiece. They are re-usable though (unlike the stock ones). Try to make sure you put the...

2010 GT Tail Lights on an 2009 GT? Can it be done?

I must agree 100%. Just installed the CDC kit yesterday and its the slickest aftermarket product I've ever purchased! They actually use factory harnesses and all you do is swap bulbs over. The install took literally 5 mins per side and they look terrific. If you own a Mustang and haven't done...

Help!! What gear oil should i use?

I think you're mis-understanding how the limited slip and friction modifier are supposed to work. The friction modifier is added to make the fluid slippier so the clutches in the lim slip won't bind or grab in corners and NOT allow the inside wheel to turn without binding. ANY rear axle will...

Help!! What gear oil should i use?

Just did this exact same thing on my 08 GT. I used Royal Purple 75W140 with NO friction modifier added in the rear axle. It completely cured my minor gear whine. I also changed the 5 speed out to Royal Purple Synchromax and I love it! It shifts much better when cold and is absoloutely silent in...

    Limited slip recommendations

Well I may have to stand corrected. I do know it's standard with the manual trannys. I will look at my ordering guide today and check on the auto's. It seems you don't have one though if the tires turn in opposite directions. I'll be darn!

    Limited slip recommendations

It does have a limited slip. Its part of the GT package....standard equipment on auto's and standards. Easiest way to verify it is jack up the rear end and spin one tire by hand. If the other tire spins in the SAME direction you have limited slip. If the other tire spins in the opposite...

    Rear axle whine

Thats sounds like maybe a lack of friction modifier in the fluid. Its required with most gear oils. The Royal Purple already has it so thats a savings also. I did not add any when I did the fluid swap and have had no strange noises from the limited slip.

    Rear axle whine

Just thought I'd pass on my experience with this issue with everyone. My 08 GT started having a pretty good whine in the rear end from 65-75 mph while under load. It started a few months ago at around 3k miles  Apparently it's a pretty common problem. Well a month ago Ford came out with a...

    Spark plug question

Well if you have AA on the sticker than yes, you have the old style plug. Yours must be an early 08 model. I don't think you're screwed you just have to follow the TSB to remove them hopefully without breakage!

    Spark plug question

I too have an 08. Look on the engine tag on the drivers side valve cover and see if it has "AB" in the middle of the numbers. If it does you're in luck! They changed the heads and plugs on the 08's built after 11/30/07 and went back to a conventional plug. You should have NO problems at all...

    Glassback

Sorry wind-farmer, wasn't trying to dog you on your roof at all. Actually I think it's a really cool option and the roof itself is very well done from Ford. The shade is the only thing I think could be a little stouter is all. I would however be very scared of letting someone do it aftermarket...

Couple of questions about '08 GT

Nope....sorry. I ordered mine in March and the 3:31's are standard on the standard tranny. :rlaugh: The 3:55's are a $300 option on the window sticker. Its a $ 261 cost on the invoice. That's still way cheaper than you can have it done after the fact.:nice:

Couple of questions about '08 GT

Yes the 08's built after 11/30/07 have the AB in the middle of the engine code on the drivers side valve cover. This denotes the new style head and better spark plug. All 08's come with a 3:31 rear gear as standard and on the manuals you can order 3:55's as an option. :nice:
