Try unbolting the shocks & have someone push down on the drivers side rotor while you fish the tailpipe in. It should go right in. Also do you have enough ground clearance to move the pipe in any direction needed?

The 96-03 are the same except for the hangers. The 04's rear o2's are located in a different area. The 98-04 kit by pypes will work on your 96. The pypes X-pipe doesn't come with hangers according to the pictures I've seen of them. Also the rear tailpipe hangers are different on the 98-04's. You...

You will have to do some mods at the muffler shop to make the fox pipe work. But it can be done. The header collectors point different than the 5.0's.

I never cared to use it. Your car's engine should be fine with out it. Just keep the oil change schedule consistent.

First thing you need is to get the plug gaps around .54-56. Second the coil is prob failing. I just had a similar problem with mine & the #2 on the coilpack wasn't firing.

I owned a 96 mystic cobra & a 96gt with a 2001gt engine. The 2v engines are easier to work on. The cobra will outrun the GT but I perfer the 2V.

Had the same problem with mine. I nailed it & it started running sluggish & idling rough. My coil pack was bad, misfiring on #2 cylinder. I replaced the coil & the problem was solved.
