    Which to buy, 2005 - 2009?

They are all pretty much equal. The 2009 has the smaller spark plugs which elliminates the spark plug TSB, which is a real minor thing, but other than that... they are all pretty much the same.

    Supercharger Question...

Who besides me on this post is a woman? What generation am I supposed to be from? I have no problem talking to women, and if I did, there is nothing better than a good cat fight. Respect is not obtained by spreading misinformation, and it would actually be nice to see a few more women on the...

    Supercharger Question...

You are dead wrong. A twin screw compresses the air axialy, not radially like a roots. The air enters at the rear of the twin screw, is trapped in a volume between the rotors. As the rotors turn, the volume between the rotors gets smaller as it moves forward, getting internally compressed...

    Supercharger Question...

Lowering the boost to run with big cams to prevent power loss? I don't know where you get that from. Running big cams will lower the boost for a given pulley size, because there is less back pressure and a higher flow rate. But it has nothing to do with preventing power loss. You just go to...

installed roush supercharger ,,still a turd!

I have a kb 2.6 running 10 psi on a 3v, (500 ish hp) and it screams like a bat out of hell. You should be in the 400 to 420 hp range with that setup. It's likely the tune and the boost level, 5 psi isn't a lot. Is it intercooled? If so, take it to a tuner, swap out the pulley for a smaller...

    Cams/supercharger compatibility?

The problem with big cams and superchargers is that big cams will lower the vaccum substantially, and you will have to get a low vaccuum bypass valve diaphram. I don't know about those cams specifcally. I went with Comp Stage 1 Blower cams, and my vaccum dropped from 20 - 25 inches to 10-15...

    Vortech or X-charger

Either way you go, get the intercooled kit, superchargers put out a lot of heat, much safer to go intercooled.

Heads and Cams for a Kenne Bell

Wise choice, I went with the KB 2.6, and then built a forged 323, and now wish I had the KB 2.8 to realize the engines full potential.

Heads and Cams for a Kenne Bell

The KB 2.8 will take advantage of big valve heads and cams at pretty much any boost level, it flows up to 1700 cfm. Head and cams with a KB 2.6 will not give you any more hp at high boost levels (17 - 19 psi) because the limiting flow factor in the kb 2.6 is the upper intake (around 1150...

    mmr intake on 07 GT350

A few CAI's don't require tunes, AFE for one. Call MMR and see if it requires a tune. Also, look into possible vaccuum leaks and other reasons it could be throwing a lean code.

    Shorty headers

If your gaskets are the asbestos fiber gaskets that might have come with the headers, get rid of them and go with the stock Ford metal gasket. I blew the fiber gasket out on my headers, stock gaskets worked fine afterwards.

    Shorty headers

Long Tubes will make it pull like a whipped mule? Long tubes will add like what 20-30 hp N/A, 30-50 hp SC'd? That's a pretty lame mule. A Whipple, Kenne Bell, TVS, centri, turbo, or NOS, or 3:73 or 4:10 gears will make it pull hard like a whipped mule, not LT's. I figured that no one would...

    Shorty headers

Long Tube guys ... Where are the numbers? ... all this talk and no graphs? I'm serously thinking about a set of long tubes, but would like to see some numbers before I go to the expense and effort of the switch.

    Shorty headers

Agreed that shorties don't add much (if anything) for top end power. How much hp / torque (HP/torque curves vs. RPM) do the long tubes typically add (NA and SC) on a 3Valve application? Which sets have the D shaped port that match the 3V heads? Do they require special cats? Do they require...

    Engine Build Help

BS ... Once again! 1) A smaller SC pulley at the compressor means higher boost. PSI at the manifold means EVERYTHING .... This backpressure IS THE BOOST! 2) The 302 is not that different of a beast, it's still a 4v short deck mod motor, and the flow is equivelent to a GT500 or a 4.6V...

    Engine Build Help

He's running 10 psi and getting 484 rwhp. JPC is getting 802 rwhp on a 2011 5.0 with a Novi 2200. He should be able to get to 680 rwhp with a pulley change considering the levels he's already putting out.

    Tuning Question

The CAI, Exhaust, and tune may give you 20 hp. You are not really going to feel much of a difference with this level of increase. If you really want to feel of a difference, then you might want to consider changing rear end ratios (3:73 or 4:10), or go with forced induction, or NOS. Those mods...

    Exhaust Leak at Headers

You don't need to have it dyno'd for the shorties. The BBK throtle body and the JLT CAI would have more of an impact on needing a tune than the shorties would.

    Help with Long Term plan?

BS! Although I have a twin screw setup, there are some kick ass and reliable turbo cars out there. There are quite a few manufacturers who sell reliable turbo kits for S197's; Hellion, Turbonetics, HP, STS, Garrett, etc. If these systems are installed correctly, and tuned correctly, they...

    Help with Long Term plan?

If you plan on going with twin turbos at some point, then the headers would be a waste, since you would have to get rid of it to install your turbos. From a horsepower stand point, shorties will give you nothing, and long tubes might give you 25 hp? A CAI and a canned tune might give you 15...
