    NEED ADVISE!!!

    these units generally either1 or 2 things 1.that the engine temp is lower that what it actually is so more fuel is inserted(use to do this with a volume control knob from radio shack when i ran buick grand nationals) 2.that the throtle is open farther than it is to do the same as above

    the easiest way to check.......well may be the safest is using soapy water spray in areas of concern idle should stabilize as mixture temporaly closes off vacuum leak i use carb cleaner BUT ITS DANGEROUS i have caught more than one car on fire

    1.put a meter on injector 2.check for pulse while cranking 3.if pulse you have clogged fuel rail/bad regulator 4.if im not mistaken ford grounds the injector to fire so check for power to injectors with key on 5.i do beleave some one made up a no start chart for these might want to check...

    the reason for thick film is because of weird distributor that was in donner motor 88 ltd roller---the shaft is smaller and the longer from the gear down (1 inch -most 5.0's mine 1 1/2 inch) cannot find distributor with advance capabilities

    as meassured from end of shaft to bottom of gear (oil pump drive end) is 1 1/2" on 88 crown vic donner car 1 " on older distributor i had dist shaft is also smaller diameter on vicky one cant use thick film dist. running carb and need mechanical advance (drag car vacuum not needed)

    went to order a dui style distributor of of ebay was told there are 2 different shaft lenghts as messured from bottom of gear to oil pump dive end mines 1 1/2 inches long {donner car was 88 crown vic) whats the deal and can i just change timing covers? help thanks

    had enough with the factory efi on my motor so , i have heard of an adpter to bolt a 2 bbbl to the stock efi lower or is there a manafold to use on the d port head that excepts the 2300 holley thanks

    follow up........... flushed coolong system with dish soap followed by laudry detergent 6 cycles then flushe with clear water. drove 25 miles no sign of any more oil like substance in cooling system diagnoise: wally world anti freeze that i used must of reacted with prevous anti freeze...
