Is this a good deal for a T5?

Here's the info: I have a Tremec Transmission for sale $800.00 obo. This transmission sale price is $1295.00 brand new. This transmission only has at the most has 400 miles on it -- 100 after the rebuild. It also comes with a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter with a Pro 5.0 handle. The shifter itself...

    Best sheet metal options?

I agree with original stuff when you can find it but I'm not out for a Concours car so that's why I was asking for good options.

    Best sheet metal options?

I need a pair of rear quarter panels for a 65 convertible and so far the only NOS stuff I've found would cost me $3k! Is there a better option that won't cost so much but still produces a great product? Dynacorn? NPD?

    Best sheet metal options?

NOS is nice if you can find it but seems to have a premium price. There are plenty of repo companies but is there a consensus about where to get quality sheet metal for classic mustangs?

289ci rebuild vs. crate motor... opinions please

Ok, so I pulled the heads on my '65 289 and found a couple things that I mostly already knew. The #4 cylinder has scoring on about a quarter of the cylinder wall from a broken spark plugs bits. Thus why the car has been sitting for 12 years. I also found a 60 on top of the cylinders indicating...

Need some basic direction: c4 vs. T5

So the T5 wouldn't really be a perminent mod?

Need some basic direction: c4 vs. T5

Ok, then these are what I should be asking about compared to the T5. No doubt the T5 is a solid replacement and everyone likes it but does it cost more and involve more to do the T5 over a 4 speed toploader

Need some basic direction: c4 vs. T5

    isn't there a 4-speed manual tranny?

Need some basic direction: c4 vs. T5

My '65 vert has a manual 3-speed and I've seen a lot on c4 and T5 stuff. I want to keep the car a stick. I like the idea of an overdrive for longer trips but I get the feeling a C4 might be an easier, less involved, cheaper, and strong option. I'm just getting started so I'm turning to y'all for...

    Finally getting my childhood car

I'll work on the pictures. I don't currently have any and the car is 4 hours from me. The car has lead a long indoor life (especially now since it's not running). I can always remember the car being in the garage when I was a kid. They are the second owner of the car when they bought it used...

    Finally getting my childhood car

I'm obvisouly new here but not that new to Mustangs. My first car in HS was a rough '66 coupe. I sold that car soon after I graduated for something more reliable. Fast forward to this past weekend and I get a call from my grandfather who has been hoarding a 1965 convertible 'stang that...
