I had the same problem and it was the rod inside the column sticking. You turn the switch and pushes the rod down to power the solenoid and it stays. Did you change the actual ignition switch or the lock and tumbler?

I was wondering if ya'll could tell me if I could replace the EFI for a carb setup and if so will this be a job or will it be pretty easy. I know I have to replace the fuel pump but what else would I need to get/replace? Thanks

I believe I have a C&L the intake tube is C&L and it looks like the pic on CJ pony parts how do I tell what Ive got? Does the sensor on top that screws on need to be changed or just the tube? Please let me know, Thanks
