    O/T 67 Galaxie 500

I'd love to go with an FE, but don't know if it's realistic... I'd really prefer it was a Fairlane too, but it is what it is.

    O/T 67 Galaxie 500

Yep, it's got Explorer wheels on it... those gotta go! :D As for the engine, it's just a little old 289. The car belonged to my wife's father and has been in the family for years, so resto parts availability and value when restored be damned, it's got priceless sentimental value to the...

    O/T 67 Galaxie 500

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but this thing showed up in my yard yesterday. Can anybody suggest good restoration parts vendors for upholstery, trim, repro parts, etc? Thanks!

FYI to anyone new to the hobby...

I hear ya. This one is going back together after 5 years apart and 3 moves... I'm buying fasteners for it just to replace stuff I can no longer find in all the boxes. I apologize in advance for the off brand photo post! :D

Illustration of my buddy's 5.0 at the track...

Actually I need to do one of my step daughter's '67 289 coupe first! But I'm like the plumber with leaky pipes, art of my own cars NEVER seems to get done. :D FWIW, the '67 coupe is why I'm a member here, NOT to pimp my "side business"...

    Insuring my Classic

Understood! That's probably the best you can do for now... FWIW, I've driven old cars with just "regular" insurance on them too. You do what you have to do to get by... good luck with it! :nice:

    Insuring my Classic

Your regular insurance won't cover it for what it's really worth in the collector market, regardless of an appraisal. That means if it got totaled or stolen (and not recovered) you'd come out on the short end...

    Insuring my Classic

Yeah, it has to be in a LOCKED garage, that's their stipulation... Hagerty won't want it to be a daily driver or driven to work. But they don't limit how many miles I can drive my Runner.

Finally got a chance to do a Mustang cartoon!

I could probably do a run of t-shirts on CafePress if there's enough interest... :nice: Oh, and without the "sample" all across it too... :D

    Insuring my Classic

I know many guys who speak very well of Hagerty when it comes to making a claim with them--typically the guys will say they pay out with no great problems. I have Hagerty on my '71 Road Runner and can't complain either. But thankfully I've never had to put that to the ultimate test. As for...

The Snake is hiding on the fender behind that big front fender flare and tire... :D But it will DEFINITELY make an appearance on this guy's show board. :nice:
