    Steeroids Rack & Pinion???

:nice: looking forward to that review, jb. R&P will likely be my next mod, once I have some bills :bang: paid off and hurricane shutters or impact glass installed on my house :lock: . Fortunately this last hurricane season didn't cause any damage for me, but it left me feeling pretty uneasy &...

&*%$ Shifter Handle Wont Come Off

if the allen head is stripped, try jamming a star bit in there (I don't know what they are called, but they're star-shaped) and turning it that way.

    Steeroids Rack & Pinion???

One of the things I like about the Steeroids kit is the rod ends are engineered to adjust for bumpsteer (which my car has like a mo'fugga since I lowered it). So rather than buy a kit, then have to buy a bumpsteer eliminator (like the Baer Tracker kit), the Steeroids kit is ready to go, just...

it all depends on the area in which he's selling it. In Miami, classic Mustangs in any condition bring a premium, especially fb's and verts.

What is the best rearend for the money?

hmmm, the best rearend for the money? that's a very "open-ended" question.... If you've already got 320 rwhp, and are going to add boost or juice, I'd go with a 9".

Poll...Help me decide where to put this

If you don't have a floor console, I'd say put it on the back of the shifter; if you had a console, mount it somewhere on that where it can be seen & easily accessed from the driver's seat.

    Steeroids Rack & Pinion???

I still haven't found anyone who has actually installed one in their classic Mustang. I'm not concerned about losing a little bit of turning radius, either...I"ll sacrifice that to get 2.5 turns lock to lock, rather thant the 4 I'm "enjoying" now. On the Steeroids website is a list of headers...

    Leaf spring recommendations and advice

My 67 has 4.5 leaf mid-eyes, and it sits fairly level. The front has the 620# 1" drop springs, from which I cut another 3/4 coil, and the GW Neg. Roll kit which dropped my UCA about 1.25".

    ebay suspens. kit any good?

looks like stock components. M+ kits are basically just stock-type components that have been beefed up a bit. hard to say if it's any good or better/worse than the M+kit.

    looking for 2 solid answers....

True, but if you buy a complete kit, everything is included...all you need is the brake fluid. My Baer kit had everything I needed for the conversion, including a disc brake master cylinder and proportioning valve. Very simple install; I did the whole 4 wheel conversion in one day in my...

Where can I buy (soft) rubber strut rod bushings?

and I'm not affiliated with either GW or SoT; I've just seen their products advertised, and they look like they'll remedy the problem.

Where can I buy (soft) rubber strut rod bushings?

IMO if you install softer bushings, you'll likely exacerbate problems inherent in the stut rod/rubber bushing system: the rubber biscuits compress and decompress under load, which has a shortening/lengthening effect on the suspension/alignment geometry of the strut rod. DISCLAIMER: I'm no...

I don't know about headers; for brakes I recommend Baer only because that's what I have and I couldn't be happier with them (haven't pushed them to any kind of limit, but for everyday driving in Miami's idiot traffic, they are confidence inspiring).

Where can I buy (soft) rubber strut rod bushings?

have you considered replacing the entire strut rod with one which uses a joint, rather than bushings? GW & Street or Track both have nice ones.
