    I picked up this 1965 coupe as a basketcase. The engine was out, and disassembled, the interior was removed, and the paint had been stripped. It then sat outside for several Colorado winters, until I picked it up. I installed an engine I had built (302), and kept it indoors for 10 more years...

    My '65 is still Vintage Burgundy, My '67 started out Raven Black, then was silver, then black again, and currently is a dark blue. The paint is so thick, that sitting in the sun, the paint come off in large chips.

    Have you tried full fielding the alternator? can be done at the regulator, by unplugging it, and jumping the "A" terminal(which is battery) to the "F" terminal (which is the alternator field terminal) . Doing this will give you full output of the alternator, and will also test the wire harness...

    Bolt On Hood Scoop For 65

    Any idea how much added clearance this hood scoop will give you? I am looking at this type of hood, or possibly the '67 style hood, and need an additional 1.5" of clearance. I don't care for the look of the cowl hood.
