    5 speed to Auto swap?

Oh OK, I didn't even think of that. Well, I used a sick day from work today and finally got the air bag installed in the right rear spring and gave it a coat of wax.

    5 speed to Auto swap?

Wow, thanks for all the good info! My car is far from stock also, I guess what I would like is as simple a conversion as possible, including buying a aftermarket shifter (like a ratchet or hammer shifter). Not too worried about a kick down really, but obviosly the reverse lights, NSS (etc) will...

    5 speed to Auto swap?

I see a lot of threads where people a swapping their auto trans to manuals. How hard is it to go from a 5 speed to an Auto? From what I have read, A new computer is needed as well? What else is needed and what would be a good strong tranny for the swap? Really not looking for an overdrive...

    HELP! Hood pin question.......

Oh yeah, the stock hood latch is still being used. I would actually have no problem trusting the brackets though. I made them from 1/8" steel and bolted them to the support with 1/4" bolts. I suppose they could be welded too, I probably would if I weren't keeping the stock hood latch.

    HELP! Hood pin question.......

Actually, this set in fact does have 2 plates that are supposed to live under the hood and are screwed from the top through that plate. I didn't end up using them though. I just screwed the stainless plate right to the hood. The two plates i'm talking about are very different from the one's on...

    HELP! Hood pin question.......

All done...... a little over 2 hours. Also, I fabricated two "L" brackets at work and bolted them to the front of the radiator support directly in front of where the hood bumpers are mounted. I then installed the pins through the brackets. I did it this way so I could keep the stock hood...

    HELP! Hood pin question.......

Just like this kit. Notice the 4 plates, i'm pretty sure 2 mount to the top of the hood and the small screws go through and attach to the other 2 plates mounted under the hood. The problem is, the screws that are supposed to do this are way to short.

    HELP! Hood pin question.......

I want to install a Ford Racing hood pin kit and I don't understand how to install the plates. There are 4 of them (two for each side). One on top of the hood and one for under the hood which I assume are supposed to be screwed together. The problem is there is no way they can be screwed...
