351c cam selection flat or roller? please look

Cam questions I am a big fan of roller lifter cams if only for the fact you do not have to worry about cam break-in. The more aggressive profiles available are also a bonus. I've built 2 engines for my Mustangs and have used Comp Cams kits both times. No problems with start-up and initial run...

Anybody ever do something stupid and know it was a risk?

Spit Happens I was going to make the same point about the side of the damage. At least you don't have to look at it every time you get into that bad ride. just drive it until it needs more work and then do the color change.

    Ford 302 V8 Engine Cradle

Engine Cradle I purchased one like this a few years ago to hold my original 289. Great product, may look wimpy but with engine installed it stiffens up a lot. Worth every penny spent.

    Dual Exhaust Mufflers

Check out National Parts Depot. They have all the stuff in stock and it fits. Just bought the dual set-up for my 68 and waiting for rack time to install. Yes you will have to re-route the brake line, not hard.

Master Cylinder for Manual Front Disc Brakes??

Master Cylinder problems I don't know why you are wasting your time looking for a master cyl. Mustangs came with manual disc fronts and that master cyl. is available at any real parts store. No modifications to firewall or brake lines necessary.

    Sequential Tail Lights Incandescent

Sequential kit I purchased one of these kits years ago. Never got it to work correctly, all it did was melt the far left lens on both taillights. Seems the 1157 bulbs are very close on both outsides. I ended up with an LED kit and it is much brighter and cooler on the lenses.

I WANT TO UPDATE MY STEERING

Old days racers Don't forget that they were locked into using the stock steering by the racing rules at the time. If they had a choice they probably would have run rack& pinion setups. The factory steering can be made to work, just takes time and adjustment.

    T&L Engines F-up...

WTF engine problems Sure sounds like a bunch of people picked the wrong place to get an engine. With all the places to buy crate engines out there why go to a shop in the middle of the country? Every town out there has at least one parts store with a good machine shop that can build your engine...

    Pertronix info

I have a Pertronix distributor in my 68 and love it. They also make an ignition box that has a rev-limiter built-in. Check out the Second Spark unit.

    LED Headlights?

LED Headlights--not I don't think that LED headlights look right on our early Mustangs. A much better way to increase light output is to check out some of the new HID kits. All you need is a pair of Hella or Cibie euro code housings and the HID kits plug right in. Much better output and they...

Do you drive your classic in the winter?

Nothing worse than a car stuck ay home. I drive mine every day, since I blew up my 84 GT350. Either car is a blast to drive in any weather. You just slide the corners a little more in the rain. My only change for the wet is to put covers on the cowl vents. Remember these are cars that were meant...

    T5 Shifter for 67 w/Console

t5 shifter info Another option if you want to use a hurst stick is part #538-7436. Slight offset toward the driver to make the 3rd and 5th reach easier. bolts to the factory shift head or any aftermarket unit. Has the same bend as the hurst replacement for the T10.
