    im having some wierd timing issues with my efi 5.0... my questions is could i have timing issues from play in the distibutor shaft? how much should it have? should i be able to move the shaft up and down with it installed into the engine? how do i measure the thrust on it and what are the specs...

    driving my car yesterday it just died on me at a light... i pushed it into the parking lot nearby and it cranked and and cranked no start... randomly 5 mins later i turned it over and it started right up... got about 2 blocks away and it died again sitting at another light... no luck this time...

    did you pull the plugs? it sounds to me like fouled plugs... exactly what mine did every three weeks when i had oil fouled plugs from my cobra intake

    Stalling when AC is on

    mine idles around 700... it does fine when the ac is not on... accounts for vss input and everything so im thinking my compressor might be going bad... however when i crank it up in the morning it does have a surging idle but only when its cold thats whats making me think its something else...

    Charged my AC and now when i press my clutch in to slow down for a stoplight or stop sign with the A/C the engine stalls completely... if i blip the throttle just as it gets down to about 1000 RPM it will stay running but if i just let it fall it stalls out Any ideas why? thanks in advance

    its a pretty low mileage engine.... ill check the pcv screen today and see how that looks... any thoughts on why it would only be the cylinders at the rear of the engine?

    I cant figure out why i keep oil fouling spark plugs... Its only the back plugs (#3, #4,#7,and #8)... i changed the valve seals and it still does it... they are wet with oil when i pull them to check them and fouled but the front plugs are dry and still good... someone please help... why...

    change your plugs and fuel filter and see what happens... mine was doin the same thing and that fixed it

    there are 3 spacers that are on it now... two on the water pump and one on the top bolt of the alternator... i would have to get spacers exactly the thickness they are now plus the difference between the front and rear tracks of the crank pulley does anyone have an idea where i could find...

    the water pump does line up with the front track on the crank pulley... but the alternator lines up with the back track... thats what i was hoping i could do but i cant think of how i could do it... does anyone know of an alternator mount that would bring the alt further forward?

    Does anyone know which water pump pulley will work with this pulley configuration to make it line up... the one pictured sits too far forward... I am running a 3g alternator so the pulley sits further back since it has no external fan... but i would like to run a 6-rib belt... can anyone help me?:(

    One sided problem....

    My 89 lx coupe 5.0 spits and sputters momentarily when taking hard right hand turns only... everything is fine on left hand turns Acts like fuel starvation... Has anyone had this problem before? If so what did it turn out to be?
