Take it easy for the first 4-500, vary RPMs on the highway. You don't really need to do anything fancy on a modern car to break it in.
Changing the oil every 1,000 miles though.... :rlaugh:
I think he wants to know how long it takes, on average, to ship and receive a car after the window sticker information has been generated and published.
I have no idea unfortunately.
I'm a fan of the Borla Stingers.
Very low and rough, no noticeable drone. Plenty loud when you stand on it but won't wake anyone up if you're driving around the neighborhood at night. They also have some of the cleanest looking tips in my opinion :nice:
The 2005 makes 240lb @ 3500 while the 2011 makes 280lb @ 4250 - both of those numbers are pretty accessible off the line. They're definitely different setups, but I think it would still go to the 2011 in most situations (although, I've never actually driven a 2011+ V6 personally).
125,000km...
The 2011 V6 is going to blow away any previous years by quite a large margin when it comes to performance.
If you're looking at 30k for a 2011 V6, I assume it's pretty loaded. You may also want to keep in mind that you could probably pick up a base 2011 or 2012 GT for only a very little more...

We disable it automatically on all our tunes. We leave nothing in there that will get in the way of performance. J
Anyone happen to know the factory tire size for the 2011/12 GT/CS wheels? Tire rack is letting me down...
I have some 245/45/19s here that I'm sure will fit but was wondering how they will compare to stock.
Looks amazing man, congrats.
One warning in regards to the 401a spec though... That shifter will heat up to a temperature comparable to the sun when the car has been sitting in a parking lot for a while. I've got a very attractive sock I slip over mine when I'm parked, seems to help some :D
That dealer also has some Corvettes listed 10k+ under blue book for their year and mileage, unless they're in terrible condition (which they don't look to be)
Installing the brace is a matter of removing 4 extremely accessible bolts and then replacing them. Even the most mechanically inept person (probably me) can do it in about 3 minutes.
Don't worry about taking it anywhere and no, it won't void your warranty.
I don't recall having to let off the clutch, no.
My dealer was going to have it disabled through the computer, which you can also do with an aftermarket tune. American Muscle sells tuners for about $350 and includes unlimited free tunes. Throw in an aftermarket intake (very easy to install) and...
I'm not quite sure what you're asking here.
A one second delay would be very frustrating if you're trying to accelerate or shift aggressively, but that isn't ever the case. Skip shift won't bother you unless you're trying to shift 1 -> 2 under something like 2,500 RPM with very little...
Try looking at it this way.
You won't run in to the skip shift if you're driving even slightly aggressively. It's very unobtrusive to begin with.
Having the skip shift feature also saves you a minimum of $1,000 by avoiding the gas guzzler tax. If you absolutely don't want it, buy a $350 (or...
Skip shift is definitely present on the manuals as well. I had it disabled with a tune, but it's there from the factory.
From what I recall, your process of shifting to neutral, waiting a moment, then heading in to second worked fine. I found that with the extra delay though, there really...
