    Mustang on the European Roads

I didn't think of it that way, but now you mention it, that's pretty funny :rlaugh:. I mentioned the small country roads above. This is one of them and it's a 2 lane road

    Mustang on the European Roads

Last year I had my car shipped from Colorado to Denmark (mentioned in this post) and I finally got around to shooting some photos here. It's definitely much more of a head turner than it was in the States, which is both good and bad. Good because people give thumbs up, positive comments etc...

Who here bought their car new?

I'm really glad to see I'm not the only crazy nut with low milage. I took possession of mine on May 23rd, 2001 in Colorado and it now has 24k on the clock. Last year I shipped it across the Atlantic to Denmark and just got it registered to drive here. When I bought the car in 2001 it cost...

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

Haha, yeah that was a pointless comment he made, but most are helpful - thanks again :nice:.

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I didn't because they only accept a VIN stamped on the frame :(. I've come across quite a few horror stories about US cars being imported into Europe and not complying with the regulations. So far I have had to install side turn signals, converted the 35 watt fog/driving lights to 5 watt...

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

Awesome. I will take a look at it tomorrow and hopefully I can get my car on the road soon. Thanks for checking with your friend - that's a great help!

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I've been searching high and low for the VIN in the locations you suggested, including pulling off the door sills on both sides, so far with no luck. Unfortunately, any removable parts are not accepted I did call Ford yesterday and they normally don't help people out of country, even though...

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I just realized that when you said it's located on the firewall, you are probably referring to the riveted plate displayed through the windshield? Inspection did see that one but weren't satisfied.

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I will check those locations again tomorrow, maybe I missed them the first time I looked. I just hope it's not a plate like in the windshield, because when I had it inspected they specifically told me it had to be stamped into the frame of the car. I guess it's easy to replace the plate if...

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I'm having it inspected in Denmark and their requirements are insane.

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

Yikes, is it that hard to get to it?! Well at least it's there, thanks!

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

Unfortunately stickers aren't good enough for the inspection I'm having done. I t needs to be stamped into the metal.

VIN location? (in addition to the windshield)

I know the VIN number is displayed in the windshield, but is it stamped somewhere on the body of our cars as well?

Where can I get side markers?

Good idea to tap into the headlights, that's what I ended up doing. Using fish tape I was able to run wires from the front turn signals and all the way to the doors through the front fender wiring channels and I didn't have to disassemble anything :nice:. I decided not to try and pull off...

Where can I get side markers?

Ford didn't start selling Mustangs in Denmark until 2005, but I think I found a solution today. I came across a set of slim LED turn signals. It looks like the plastic piece on the back will fit perfectly into the hole used by the GT badge and with a little doublesided tape they should stick...

Where can I get side markers?

You're right - I ment to say turn signals. Good idea you suggested about picking the Australian turn signals. I just wish they were slimmer and not so ... orange. Maybe there's a coating I can apply to make them darker/black without sacrificing too much of the light output. I miss the US...

Where can I get side markers?

In order to meet strict regulations I have to install side markers on my GT. It's an understatement to say I'm not too excited about this. I imagine I could take my GT emblems off on the LH/RH side and replace them with amber side markers. Do you guys know about side markers with a low profile...

Caution: Changing from green to blue cluster!

I'm just going to leave mine as is. Sanding them down to make them clear and then possibly not being able to see the needles or not having the same brightness as the original doesn't make it worth it to me. evil281, the only way I could tell what film I had was to remove the cluster from the...

Caution: Changing from green to blue cluster!

98MACH1R > No problem. I did read *a lot* about this and I came across quite a few people asking if it was possible to remove the green film, but I never saw anyone answering that question, only speculating whether or not it was possible to sand it. What grit do you recommend and can you use the...

Caution: Changing from green to blue cluster!

Before spending time, effort and money on changing your cluster from green to blue you should make sure your cluster does NOT have a green film already as blue LEDs will NOT shine through. I followed the instructions in another thread and bought the bright blue LEDs suggested. After...
