Suspension What Makes That "new Car Ride"?

Nice! Thanks for the reply. Yeah the SVE springs that I'm running right now are at about 350. Which I was told, isn't any different from stock, in that they are static springs. Now, at times, they are just like stock but other times they are stiffer, as the stock springs were not static. I...

Suspension What Makes That "new Car Ride"?

We've all felt it, that new car ride. I don't necessarily mean something like you might feel in a 4-door Mercedes or a Lexus or the like. In fact, I can feel it in my wife's 2010 Toyota car and my buddy's 2012 F-150. Somehow cars that still have that "new" ride feel, feel both firm and soft at...

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

Called them and they couldn't give me an answer lol. They don't look mandrel bent anyway so I'm thinking I'll just skip that one. I'll just go with the other member's idea of building my own. Only thing is, Its weird about the cats. Some companies (like magnaflow) sell them with the cats right...

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see the actual tubing size anywhere. I'm looking for 2.5" (or was it 2.75") whatever the heck the upgrade was from factory 94 GT tubing. I can't remember if they have 2.5" or 2.25" pipe from the factory.

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

Never heard of spun cats. I take it the inside is some kind of spiral configuration as opposed to the honeycomb look of the normal ones? I'll check 'em out. Only thing is, on the factory H-pipe (and on the catted ones I've seen for sale) the cats are at some kind of weird, bent elbow right...

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

So basically there really is no way around the $500 catted H-pipe. Oh well. Least I can say I tried. Oh well on to my next question. Is there any reason that summit brand $289, 2.5" catback won't work with a 351w? Is 2.5" too small for the windsor, or should I go 3"?

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

Anyone have a link to said $350 H-pipe for the 94 models? I've been looking around and all I can come up with is $450+. That $350 actually sounds pretty good.

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

I was just going to leave it on all year round. I had an aftermarket H-pipe but it was for a Fox body and didn't fit the car well enough for my liking. It had no cats, and wouldn't pass inspection. After a few years of swapping it out for the stock one come inspection time, I got tired of it...

Least Expensive Catted X-pipe? (or H-pipe)

Hi all. I'm looking for the least expensive H-pipe or X-pipe that has cats on it. Something like that performance one from Bassani. Also I was wondering how they can actually pass emissions when they have 2 less cats on them than the factory one from my 94 GT. My factory pipe has 4 cats total...

    Tach help

I got a new tach I'm having trouble getting working. Can I just pop the hood, hook up the negative on the tach to the negative on the battery, the positive on the tach to the positive on the battery, and the signal wire to the negative on the coil? I'd like to test with the simplest...

    Suspension Which Isolators?

Yeah but what if they're deteriorated or somewhat squished by now? My car has 178K on the clock so those isolators are well used.

    A little fuel gauge help

Ok thanks I never thought about using the switch itself. How exactly would you go about doing that? I suck at electrical/signal stuff. Just use the wires going to the switch maybe?

    A little fuel gauge help

I have an "electrical" question, sort of. Its on a chevy, but this really isn't a "chevy specific" question, more of a basic electrical question in my opinion. I thought I'd ask cause they don't seem to be of much help over at my chevy forums. So here goes. I'm wiring up some new gauges on my...

Balljoints on a 94 pressed in?

Ok so you NEED to run the spacers.

Balljoints on a 94 pressed in?

Hmm something to consider. I'll probly forgo the spacers. I like 'em low. Do you happen to know offhand how much more the steeda balljoints lower the car? My guess would be only like a quarter inch.

Balljoints on a 94 pressed in?

Wait... why would I want to bring the car back up to correct ride height? I'm wanting to lower the car properly, not raise it back up once its lowered.

Balljoints on a 94 pressed in?

I'm looking to upgrade my 94 GT with steeda X2 balljoints. It seems they're good to have if you're lowering the car. Plus my old ball joints are wore out anyway. So I had a couple questions about it before I get started. Are the ball joints on the 94 GT pressed in? How hard is the whole job? And...

Which block casting number to get?

Yeah. Well now I wonder if there is such a thing, as an aluminum 302 block. That'd be cool.
