Maybe his folks have phat life insurance on him? ;) I know an 18 year old that wrapped his '01 Cobra around a telephone pole so his parents got him an '03 Cobra vert to replace it. Wonder if they're still waiting for the payday...

Definitely paint it It's not already painted, it's just already black. I had mine on my hood for a week or so before I got it painted to match (true blue) and it just didn't look good. The black is not even across the surface. You can see my pics below.

UPDATE: Took it back yesterday and they thought friction modifier might be the cause. Picked it up after work when he called me as he said he took it for a spin and didn't hear anything. BUT Yeah, it's there still. It seems to have lessened I think. The way to *consistently* reproduce...

Just got the stang back from getting 4.10s put in and what I notice now is that when I take a turn, usually left, and I got some momentum going, I can hear a sound coming that wasn't there before. I can't tell if its coming from the front or rear, but it sounds like a rubbing or low whining...

You have that option in a Mustang today. It's called an '03 Cobra. I would be surprised if the '06 Cobra doesn't offer something similar.
