    So I've recently bought an 01 convertable. And was concerned about the lesser reinforcements the vert has. Would iI be waisting time and money on this project? Looking for around 550 wwhp. Anyone here close to that with a vert? What are some chassis mods you've done? Thanks for anyone's help

    Its not that you'll gain anything but most times under wot (wide open throttle) your car will shift into OD before redline. So yes, figuritivly speaking if making a freeway pull turn OD off. But for everyone's safety no need to go that fast.

    I've had my tranny built and before the Dyno tune my OD would come in way to early so I left mine off most the time to keep from snapping my neck. But stick with what Davis3 says, passing on freeway etc. Under normal driving conditions leave it be. If youre at the 1/4 track turn it off.

    TrueBlue... check your TPS. Ours are non adjustable and won't throw a CEL right away. As for the noise make sure all your air intake tubes are sung.

    I have been quoted $1750 for p&p and installation of any parts I supply for the heads. The speed shop has guaranteed 55+RWHP with adding valves, springs and a mild cam i already got sitting in the garage.Or the Dyno run after install is free. I'm taking it in Monday morning!

    I might be misunderstanding what you're reffering to... do you have problems at car op temps or outside weather temps? Don't rule out internal problems if its not extreamly hot outside. Last summer at the track temps were over 100 degrees and i had no performance issues. Do this test... next...
