Well the price on the GT500 is out and it was as I expected. $58k for the SVT. So I'm saving my pennies toward it this summer.

Top Gear America (i know dont flame me) tested both a Stage 3 Roush and Boss on their track with the "stig". The Boss beat the Roush by a few tenths of a second even though it had 100 HP less. So now you are comparing a mustang with 200 more HP than the Boss, bigger brakes, completely regeared...

Talking weight the ZP1 is coming in at 4120 and the GT500 is 3850. So power to weight is ZL1 = 7.1 lbs for every 1 HP GT500= 5.9 lbs for every 1 HP

I thought the engine was the same but with a different intake manifold. Is there more different in the engine?

So I looked up the ZL1 just cause I haven't seen anything for the GT500. Well a fully loaded ZL1 goes for $58k. Everyone seems to think the next Gt500 is gonna come in around $55k to $60k. I guess the big difference between the 2 is gonna be HP vs IRS. Do you think 80 HP overcomes IRS?

Here's what I know. Companies limit a car's top speed because they feel it isn't safe at faster speeds. We can add a lot to the boss's engine to make it faster but is the rest of the car going to be as good as the GT500 at 200 mph.
