Electrical "No start (spark) checklist" clarification question

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was stuck on the troubleshooting checklist writeup, apparently there are some old posts that still exist which omit half a statement. It figures that the version I was following contained that error, which stated "If 12 volts is present in the Run position, then...

Electrical "No start (spark) checklist" clarification question

Troubleshooting a no spark issue, and going through the checklist I found a point of confusion. Jrichker's no-start checklist has this about the ignition switch: If I'm reading this right, it says that with the key in the RUN position, it suggests 2 outcomes: 1) 12V not present = faulty...

Good luck! Make sure to post pics and if I don't reply, ping me. I would like to see it whenever it comes through :nice:

Some of the nicest engine bays I've seen have been heavy on powder coating/paint/anodizing. It all comes down to the color scheme and how everything plays off of everything else. I've seen mostly-black engines that have blown me away more than most shiny ones. The thing with shiny ones IMO is...

My car featured in Auto (Mustang) Enthusiast magazine

Dirt might harm it after a while if left to sit and etch onto it long enough. I still show it a few times per year and just wipe it down then. Just a light layer of dust from sitting/driving, it doesn't get dirtier than that. Or if I'm driving and get caught in the rain, I'll wipe it down...

Not hard at all, but I don't drive it too much & do wipe it down if I get caught in the rain.

    hsean's project "resto mod"

Hey Sean! Boy I'd have hate to seen you sell it. New Vette or prior gen? I like the thumb grips, that's really cool! Be interesting to see how it all turns out.

No floormats for these like the old ones either, huh? Unless I didn't notice them in the box... I skipped the Home Improvement one, but a friend got it so I'll be able to check it out in person. l expect the same quality as the Cobras, probably with the sticky steering.

Got mine the other day too! I sold my old teal one to basically trade for the whole matching set now. I didn't notice any of the build issues you mentioned on mine, except the steering. That's pretty damn rough, I've never seen that on any of GMP/Acme builds models before.

To you all who have polished your intakes, brackets, etc.....

I used to have just about everything on my engine polished. Now I have just about everything on my engine chrome plated. If you don't want to be that crazy, paint or powder coat is the way to go for low maintenance.

Haven't got that one, but it's not part of 3 "feature cars" series anyway ;) I recently ended sold my original teal Cobra for about 400, which I put into the new set of 3 re-releases :nice:

Haha, exactly. It's bad enough (but good, certainly) that there are so many high-end 1:18s coming out from GMP and otherwise.

Those are cool. If I didn't fear going crazy, I'd collect the little ones too.

Looks good! I always wanted to do a custom 1:18 of mine, never got around to it, forgot about it...

I only have the MI and NYPD police cars now that I sold the FBI Pursuit. I think the new SC police car is pretty nice, but I don't want to get too many. Slippery slope. My original intention w/buying models was to get just a few, and look how that turned out. I got into variant/chase car...

I may have mentioned it here a while back, but one year they GAVE you a free chrome yellow model when you joined their annual club. I think it was $15 extra to have it shipped, but still how can you complain about that. I already had one, of course, but joined up anyway so I could sell it and...

I'm digging the white one. Not sure why but in the promo pics it really pops. Maybe because I have so many red models, the white one just seems fresh? All 3 will look great together, I know that much! With all these models coming out of the woodwork lately, maybe we can still hope for some new...

Yes, that was Brad's car. For just the 1 episode, IIRC. The Married With Children car was a rental that I think they sat in for almost the entire episode while stuck in traffic, so it got more screen time  I did catch the bit about the black interior on the Cobras. I bet people would...

I'd prefer they hadn't re-released them too, but they did so what can ya do...I should sell my teal one now while the getting is good, might still end up paying for the 3 replacements itself :rlaugh:The Home Improvement car was a nice color combo, I wonder what else they're going to come up...
