im trying to pick out a carburettor from summit racing. all of them are either electric or manual choke. i need a vacuum choke. it says secondary type: vacuum. does that mean you can do either or?

Im rebuilding a ford 1979 302. My instruction book says i need an oil slinger that goes over the crankshaft timing gear. My engine didn't come with one. I suspect my engine was rebuild before. Is it supposed to have one on that year? Can i run without one? Where do i find a replacement one?

No it wont be obvious because i am cutting mickymouse hoses and guessing where they go. I just needa know where everything is routed. It looks like your vacuum advance for the distributor is routed to the carburetor? is this right? or should it be routed to that vacuum line i posted.

One of mine broke. I ordered a whole new pan, which included a gasket and bolts. The bolts they sent me were the friggen wrong size. If anyone has spare c4 transmission pan bolts, i will buy them. I just need one but i will buy them all if you have them.

Its the 2v. The guy who used this carb had a cable running under the dash which he would pull on to engage the manual choke. I also have the auto choke housing, maybe that is your problem?

When reinstalling the valve body, the shift lever contacts a pole/valve the moves with the shift mechanism. Does the shift pole go behind this pole/valve, or in the first groove of it? I put it in the first groove of it because it only seems to move that way. But i don't know if i did it right...
