Car dies when put in park?

Will the car idle well in drive? Could be a vacuum leak which are more prominent at idle but odd that your symptoms dissapear and re-appear. Electrical?

    Florida Statute 316.293.5b

I remember reading something about this before (not specific to FL) and to give a citation based on noise, and actual reading had to be provided OR a warning followed by a recurring infraction (ie. a loud house party would get a warning then a ticket).

    help - running rich

When you reset the computer, it runs off of a pre-programmed table of values until it acquires enough data to make real-time adjustments. If you've check the plugs and for vacumm leaks, +1 for bad O2 sensors. You could  crawl under the car and check the voltage of the rear O2's...

If you have power going to the car but it shuts out after you try to start it?

Sounds like you might have a starter motor problem and a battery/electrical problem... - get battery tested at parts store, most times it's free - test the ignition relay voltage in and voltage out to ensure you're getting the voltage from the clutch pedal sensor and ingition switch - If...

Potential modifications list for 96 GT- would appreciate any feedback good or bad.

Looking back on my experiences with my 97, if I was starting from scratch again and had some coin set aside, this is what I would do, in order, assuming HP and the thrill of driving was my priority: - headswap and improved cams (assuming you want to stay NA) - gears - short-throw shifter - then...

UPDATE* My racing seats came in and their wrong ...... crap****

Sounds really fishy to me. Any company that has the customer satisfaction in mind would contact you first to explain and offer the upgrade, not simply assume you'd want it. Fight for what you paid for.

HOLY CRAP, IT IS GREAT BEING BLOWN!

In your sig, you mentioned P&P Stage2 heads and cams - did the shop do anything to lower the compression before the blower? What's the compression like now? From what I've read, doing a headswap with cams on pre-99's ups the compression too much to use a blower safely without using different...

    02 sensors

P1151: Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2. Bank 2 refers to driver's side, and if the location is 1 then it refers to the sensor closest to the exhaust manifold (vs. behind the cat). I would check for a vacum leak first by simply spray some...

    Starter Motor?

To complete this thread (for search purposes for other SN'ers) the new starter motor/solenoid unit is on, and the car fired up first try. I didn't replace the 3rd top bolt, but I must admit I tried for about 20 minutes before I gave up, lol. Thanks again to all for their ideas and help
