    Highest Surge Ever.

Thanks j, I did re-run the KOER test and got a code 11. The idle stayed nice before and after the test so I didn't have a chance to unplug the IAC or MAF as someone else suggested. I'll check the TPS next. I was scrolling for quite a while on the Surging Idle Checklist and didn't see any post...

    Highest Surge Ever.

It's a '92 LX 5.0 5-speed, Mass Air. Fenderwell CAI , newer 19lb injectors, with Pro-M 76mm MAF matched to the fenderwell CAI. I got code 11 on the KOEO and KOER tests, with nothing in the "stored" memory. I just was reading my code reader book again and I think I'll do the KOER test again...

    Highest Surge Ever.

A few months ago this started. Worst surge ever. The engine RPM will go up and down randomly while driving or idling. When it's bad it goes up to 3000 rpms exactly and will stay there for about 20 seconds or so. If it happens when I'm driving I have to downshift a gear to keep from speeding. It...

Engine Radiator Fan Shroud And Overflow Tank

I never thought of that, I'll have to swap it out when I get a chance. I forgot to put it in boiling water to test it before I put it in.

Engine Radiator Fan Shroud And Overflow Tank

I've considered the heater core. But I replaced that and when I let the car idle for a long time without the fan on, the gauge does go up into the middle of the "Normal" and at that point my heater will definitely blow hot air.

Engine Radiator Fan Shroud And Overflow Tank

I just measured the factory shroud opening where the fan would go, it is about 19 5/8 inches in diameter. So as long as your current fan is smaller than that it should fit or be close.

Engine Radiator Fan Shroud And Overflow Tank

I put on the Mishimoto dual elec fan setup last summer. The previous winter, after putting in the big Mishi alum. radiator, my car would never warm up (I put in a 192 degree t-stat and new water pump at the same time.), so my wife refused to ride in the car with me with no heat. I mean the temp...

Re Installing A/c On 89 Lx

I put this http://www.nationalpartsdepot.com/store/products/mustang_a_c_system_deluxe_factory_design-169518-6268.html in my car. It wasn't too bad because my car already had A/C, it didn't work though so I was upgrading to r134a. It includes everything expect the bracket to mount the...

The Lets Find The Vibration Thread !

I'd eliminate U-joints as a possibility, you said it had a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft, which comes with new u-joints.

Electrical Electrical Gremlins -- Help!!!! Please

Next thing after grounds that cause a lot of electrical problems is the ignition switch. Has yours ever been changed? If not it is most likely falling apart.

    Clutch Pedal Vibration!

Are you sure the fork was put on the pivot stud properly? I had a similar problem. Bad clutch pedal/fork vibration. Turns out the y-shaped clip that fits on the clutch fork pivot stud was broken...

    Fuel Lines

To the OP and myself, at least get fuel line clamps. Don't use hose clamps.

    Fuel Lines

When I changed my fuel filter, I couldn't believe how flimsy the little white plastic clip is that holds the fuel line to the filter. I'm like, "That doesn't seem like it's doing anything at all and that doesn't leak."

Agreed it is not the best/correct way, but in a pinch..

    Fuel Lines

I just looked at my setup and took a couple of pictures. They are just Earl's AN fittings. If I remember correctly the Russell fittings do unscrew. So I just took them to my local speed shop, and got two Earl's AN to hose barb fittings. Don't use any sealant on AN fittings, they are designed...

    Fuel Lines

There is, that's what I have. I'll try to get a picture today since I did it last year I don't remember any part numbers or anything.

    Low Coolant Light

There is a leak from somewhere. Coolant expands and fills the overflow tank when the engine warms up. When the engine cools off and coolant contracts, coolant is pulled via vacuum back in to the radiator. The low coolant light works from the sensor in the cap on the overflow tank. So, yes...

    Running No Cats?

If all the emission stuff worked before, I would leave it as is. You just have to cap that one hose which went to the original h-pipe. I haven't had any other problems with driveability or check engine lights or anything. I think once you start removing valves and stuff, that's where problems...

    Running No Cats?

I have BBK long-tubes and I put on a BBK catted x-pipe to replace the rusted out no-name headers and off-road h-pipe. It was way quieter and not as powerful with the catted x-pipe. (With no cats I could just step on it in 2nd gear and blow off the tires, with the new headers and catted...

    Tune?

Has it been on the dyno already? If so, does it have 360 hp or 400 hp. 40 hp is a pretty big difference. I presume you have forced induction of some kind.
