can a misfire cause my 5.0 to not go full throttle? only getting to about 3000 rpm and pretty much just revs up no kick...? need help no problem with cats either.

my 89 5.0 will not go full throttle. Throttle Body is clean enough to open up just wont go past about 2500 rpm. Need some advise on how to fix it cuz i need the speed. Any help works!
