I haven't done this repair (yet) so my post is really of no help :flag: I'd say either your car has a little sag in it (not uncommon for a 41 year-old vert) or the rocker is a typical re-pop piece. Good luck.

if I am not mistaken, there are four bolts that go through the fan, then the spacer, then the pulley; and hold it all to the water pump -- if that is what you are asking. :shrug: I believe the four bolts are on page 76 of the 2007 NPD catalog -- called "Mounting Kit, fan, concours" Someone...

I have no idea if this will help you but... here is a pic of my 65 vert passenger side original torque box... I'd have to check tonight to see if the two edges are flush but the two surfaces are definitely spot or plug welded together....

have you considered selling your wheels and getting a new set with different backspacing? You would have to run the numbers but it may be cheaper than the other alternatives. Just a thought....
