    Inner Rocker Panel Problems

I haven't done this repair (yet) so my post is really of no help :flag: I'd say either your car has a little sag in it (not uncommon for a 41 year-old vert) or the rocker is a typical re-pop piece. Good luck.

    This is kinda funny.

I hope you get to feeling better bro. Definitely invest in a decent respirator, not the paper masks. I'm a bit of a safety freak. Here's me removing rust. Respirator, safety glasses, full face shield, jump suit, ear plugs, and gloves. I also have a twin-motor fan in the window -- one side...

the story behind getting a free 66 vert!

You can't beat that. Obviously getting the vehicle for free makes a big difference from a project funding standpoint. Good luck with the new project. I'm also restoring a family vehicle. My Dad bought it new in 65. I got it for free too. Only, I'm giving mine back to my Dad when I'm done :(...

    Water Pump Pulley Bolts?

mystery solved. NPD is great but I sometimes wonder how all reps can be that familar with all of the different cars and platforms they support. Good luck with the remainder of your build.... must feel good to be getting to the end.

    Water Pump Pulley Bolts?

if I am not mistaken, there are four bolts that go through the fan, then the spacer, then the pulley; and hold it all to the water pump -- if that is what you are asking. I believe the four bolts are on page 76 of the 2007 NPD catalog -- called "Mounting Kit, fan, concours" Someone...

    CONVERTIBLE torque boxes

I have no idea if this will help you but... here is a pic of my 65 vert passenger side original torque box... I'd have to check tonight to see if the two edges are flush but the two surfaces are definitely spot or plug welded together....

front wheel scrub, can i have them machined?

have you considered selling your wheels and getting a new set with different backspacing? You would have to run the numbers but it may be cheaper than the other alternatives. Just a thought....

    Suspension Upgrade

I believe it was this one: http://www.rrs-online.com/ I was excited to see that they were doing a mustang on the show until they whipped out this suspension as their second mod... too pricey for me.

    New Project! 65 289 vert

All good advice, thanks. It is in pretty good shape for what it is. The car is still my dad’s, it is going back to him when I’m done. Sort of my way of saying thanks for all he’s done for me over the years… This car will be driven, and will stay in the family for as long as I’m alive...

    New Project! 65 289 vert

I've been doing this project in my head for years but it took a few to acquire a garage and enough extra cash to get started. Long story short... My dad bought it new in June 1965 and stopped driving it in January 1972. It has been sitting in his garage ever since. It was stolen in 1967...

    advice on towing a mustang

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I just purchased a come-along. I also have an assortment of bungies, ratchet straps, tie-down/axle straps, and chocks. I'm really looking forward to this project. I've spent quite a bit of time collecting tools, outfitting my garage, reading stangnet, and just...

    advice on towing a mustang

Thanks for the recommendations. I will look into the come-along. The engine and tranny are in the car; and I'm not sure the ebrake works. The car has been dormant since 1972 (in my dad's garage).... I like the electric winch idea, like this one...

    advice on towing a mustang

Hey Guys, Next weekend I am towing a 65 vert from SC to my house in VA using a Uhaul trailer. The car does not run. What is the best way to get it onto the trailer? I will only have two other people there to help and I'm afraid (quite certain) the three of us won't be able to push it up the...
