Hey guys -- My '70 gas gauge will not read correctly. We have replaced sending units -- 6 of them --- including trying a 1969. When we ground it to see if the gauge is the problem, it works perfectly. We replaced he voltage regulator and that was not it either. Any ideas? We are running out...

I am not trying to blow the doors off people or give them a headache -- it is just so I can hear some music over my very, very loud car. I enjoy hearing the car, it is just that on a long ride with RPMs at about 3300 it gets a little old.

so using a retro is bad?

I am trying to figure out which gears are in my car ... still. Thje build she said 3.00 convential rear end. When we turned the tires it looked like 2.73 gears. That is NON locked -- I get that but it acts like a "detroit locker" This car is really confusing.

I bought a car with a 347 and it seems very powerful ... now if I can just drive it someday lol!

I just checked the build sheet from matahari -- sp? and it says it was originally a 302 2v with 300 gears and a cruise o matic. Does that say anything?

Would you still try it first and see? Could we be off with our guess on gears?

Maybe that is why the first clutch was fried? I just think it will be like trying to drive a fast car with the parking brake on?

Usually that is a beginning line to a joke, but not in this situation. I have a 70 Boss clone that has a 347 stroker. The clutch is way shot so we pulled it and the tranny. We turned the wheels to get a guess on the rear end gears ... 279s ?? or so. I am not very excited by that. Can someone...

Has anyone used these on a 69 or 70? I have a "regular" saddle cruiser in there now and would like to go to the longer one. I have the oil and temp gauge set right on the floor below the AC / Heat controls. Any thoughts on that model? Do you think it will fit. I like the Humphugger Cruiser...
