    Engine Codes 18 And 96

Its raining here now, if it stops before dark I'll go out and probe the SPOUT connector and let you know.

    Engine Codes 18 And 96

I've probed the connector side if the TFI, backprobed the TFI connector, probed the wire at the TFI, probed the wire at the SPOUT connector, as well as probed pin 36 of the computer connector to ground. All of which read 0ohm with both the computer connector and the TFI connector disconnected...

    Engine Codes 18 And 96

Latest update.... I can find no breaks in the Yellow/Lt Green wire from the TFI to pin 36. I do have continuity tone from pin 36 to Yellow Lt/Green wire at the TFI as well as 0.4ohm (which is the resistance that I get across a jumper wire that I cut of similar gauge and length). I still show no...

    Engine Codes 18 And 96

As far as the SPOUT code , here are my results thus far. With the SPOUT connector in place, the timing does advance approximately 4deg. TFI Yellow/Lt Green to Ground - 0 Ohm Pin 4 to TFI Dark Green/Yellow - 22.05k Pin 36 to TFI Yellow/Lt Green - 0.4 Ohm Obviously the TFI Yellow/ Lt Green to...

    Engine Codes 18 And 96

89 GT 5.0 KOEO test shows continuous memory codes 18 and 96. The engine mainly only stumbles while trying to maintain speed on the road with minimal throttle, but seems to lack some torque under full throttle as well. The engine revs smoothly, and steadily holds at any reasonable RPM when not...

    Engine Torque Specs?

Does anyone have a list of torque specs and sequences for an 89 5.0? Particularly, lower intake to cylinder heads and upper intake to lower intake. My list has been eluding me, any help would greatly be appreciated.

No Start Condition - Need Help

That's pretty close to what I said.... Lol. Looks like fine rust particles, must have came out of the old tank. I'm guessing the the new fuel pumps flow dislodged it from somewhere in the fuel lines. Now for cleaning the fuel lines and new injectors and maybe fuel rails.

Thanks for the info again man. It's been a hectic couple of days, gonna try to get back to working on it tomorrow. I'll let you know if I find anything.

No Start Condition - Need Help

Just got done putting a new BARO sensor on, I'm reading 150Hz now and still not starting. Code 22 and 24 are gone now. But now I'm throwing code 18 and my trouble code book is rather vague as to what that code is for. The engine will run about 30 seconds on starting fluid, then starts popping...

No Start Condition - Need Help

Just got done checking the BARO sensor. I have 5v power, less than 1ohm resistance to ground, but I'm only showing 81hz with no vacuum applied. The whether forecast says the BP is suppose to be 29.93, I'm around 3300ft elevation, it's 60° and a little humid. Do you think that this could be...

I tried that one the other day when I went down the list, unfortunately I didn't have any luck. When I get off work this evening, I'm gonna hit it again.

No Start Condition - Need Help

I can keep my cool about anything but my Stang .... Lol Thanks for the info again man. The only thing I had time to check today was the compression. Dry and on a cold engine, I had 150psi on #4 and #6 and 140psi on all other cylinders. So I'm good there. All the plugs were still moist and...

No Start Condition - Need Help

Yeah I'm leaning more and more towards the injectors, I've really just been hoping that I was being a dumb a** and overlooking something along the way. I put the new fuel pump in last week, along with a new fuel tank and filter. And I replaced the fuel pump relay just the other day. Also, I'm...

No Start Condition - Need Help

Yeah, the spout is what I meant to say. I probably should have waited and wrote the initial post after I had calmed down. Regardless though, the PIP is functioning and I'm getting good spark on all cylinders. I'm starting to think I've got clogged or malfunctioning injectors, or maybe the FPR...

No Start Condition - Need Help

Latest update on my issue.... Voltage is good all the way to the fuel pump... fuel pump primes... fuel @ the Schrader valve @ unknown psi (The pressure tester I rented from O'Reilly's didn't register anything while priming or attempting to start?)... injectors firing ok(noid light check)...
