Why would it melt?

Bad heater core.

It exploded when I took the column down. It's the electical connections in worried about friggin fords.

Look see hits keep coming part 2. So depressed. I have $4000 in parts itching to be put in.

During the removal of the dash I was disconnecting the plugs from the steering column and found major problems. I have no idea what to do now. Help please.

Keeps getting worse. Pulled off the dash to replace the heater core and found more rust. Wait till you see what else I found.
